As a contract carrier, Kizzy is fully responsible for any damages or freight claims that might arise.Shipment was delivered to warehouse in NJ (not end user).  Consignee immediately noticed damage, took photos and marked B/l "All UNITS showing scratches, small and large dents".  ...

Kizzy did NOT notify Watson W[redacted] of the damage notation.We received notice from Century Finance, Factoring company for Kizzy.  Watson W[redacted] advised both companies that it was NOT up to us whether there would be a damage claim filed or not.  The investigation process would have to start.  We had to obtain copies of the photos and forward to shipper and ultimate consignee.   Customer had to send someone to warehouse to check whether product would be acceptable for use on the job.  This process took a couple weeks.At NO time did either the shipper or consignee indicate that this was a shipper error. The photos indicated a load shift had occurred or product had been moved somehow.  Two other loads hauled by two different companies from same shipper have been delivered right before and right after Kizzy's load without damage.  No claim filed.Watson W[redacted] has kept Century Finance up to date via telephone and email several times during the investigation.  Contractor felt that the product could be repaired versus having to have replaced.  This would keep the claim amount considerably lower.A "claim letter" was sent to all three parties dated 11/18/16 outlining two options..  full insurance claim or off-set for repairs.
