This firm whether under its new name or the old one of KEL is a rip off firm They will take your money and not represent you properly We had to get another attorney to fix all the screw ups they made in our bankruptcy case Stay as far away from them as you can

Avoid this legal firm at all cost! You will do better to represent yourself I paid these people almost $to initiate a bankruptcy proceeding in October of Here it is July of and nothing has been done For months their paralegals have you submit your bank statements, pay stubs, and all types of other documentation When you try to contact them, you are informed your case has been reassigned to another paralegal This happened times! And no one can ever tell you who your assigned attorney is So they take your money, and do nothing while they pretend to be working on your case and play hot potato They had so many problems they changed the company's name to [redacted] Don't go to this "legal" firm They are a fraud in my opinion and should be shut down

I paid these atty almost 2000$ to file bankrupcy an it took over a year of me having to get pay stubs an bank statements for them then they never met with me to prepare my for court my atty was no longer with his atty week before my hearing so they assigned a new atty who didn't meet with me prior to my and also they failed to inform me to bring certain documents so my bankrupcy was delayed an had to meet again an this time the atty was min late for court again no time to go over my caseThis is the worst atty I have ever seen an I an taking this to the Florida bar an I want my money back !

A year ago, my husband was written up at work for doing something he has been doing for 28 years. The write-up offered him a demotion with a cut in pay of 1/3! There was no way we were going to be able to pay our bills and the mortgages. I heard of KEL on a radio commercial offering a "Walk in Wednesday" to ask questions--Boy, did we ask questions! With the small savings we had, we were able to pay the $1500 fee over 4 months during the holiday season. KEL kept in contact with us via email and answered my questions within 1-4 days. They assisted us with planning how the Bankruptcy could proceed with the information we provided, which was EVERYTHING as we have records going back for over 10 years. I was a nervous wreck as we got closer to the BK filing date, after the filing date, and all the way up to the 341 meeting in the court house. The KEL representatives continually assured me our case was progressing along with the debt harassment issues from the creditors. Not once did KEL say the process would be fast, nor guarantee the outcome. Even with this, the fact KEL responded to my voice mails that were followed up by emails, I felt they were there for us. I even spoke with our assigned attorney a few times when we had complicated questions that an email would be TMTT (too much to type) in a reply.

We are now using Attorney Credit Services to have our credit reports corrected. The creditors and the credit bureaus have A WHOLE LOT wrong! ACS told us the process could take anywhere between 3-12 months. This may seem like an unusual amount of time to many people. Dealing with insurance companies in my line of work, this is a reasonable timeframe when dealing with third parties to correct information.

I read the negative reviews on KEL and had a hard time understanding why so many people had issues with them. After my experience, I would recommend KEL as long as you are not in a hurry and able to use email to communicate CLEARLY with your representative. Depending upon your situation, it is imperative to provide ALL information, ask a lot of questions, follow instructions, and communicate with your representatives.

Our KEL case went as planned, filed as stated, discharged when expected, and all was done within 11 months (from first meeting to BK discharge to KEL case closing). It was a difficult period and lengthy process in our lives, which were caused by the situation, not KEL.

To sum this up, we are satisfied customers of KEL. The 4-star rating was given because there are areas of service that could be improved--like the email response time should be 1 day and for voice mails, 1-2 days.

"Terrible Law Firm! Never come back" - My case was an easy one, I just needed them to settle the payment with creditor company. It usually takes couple of calls...but KEL took their sweet time.... For First 3 month I only got one reply from them after calling and trying to reach my lawyer for a month!!! They were saying my lawyer was fired and they gave my case to another person... I never could reach anyone! They always transferred my calls, nobody answered, I left million messages but no one replied
Their service is terrible!!! They collected my money during 4 month until I finally reached my very new lawyer by some miracle! She made 2 calls and settled everything for me in one week. Her name is Carolina. She was the only one who helped me somehow....
But then I was trying to reached her for 2 weeks to cancel the contract with KEL.... Which really disappointed me again. It seemed they were ignoring me again to get a chance to collect another payment and they sure did even after I terminated contract with them. It made me super angry. I'm waiting for my refund now
Don't ever hire this law firm!!!
They re super dishonest, unresponsible and don't care about their clients.
