Review: My husband and I had traded in our Green Volvo in for the Silver GMC Terrain we purchased with this auto group. When the green volvo was taken into their possession it was improperly handled. Their company did not remove our NY registration properly. When they resold this vehicle (the green volvo) the NY registration was still attached. Whomever they resold the green volvo received our previously owned car with our old registration still in tack. This own received multiple parking tickets over a period of time in Yonkers and Queens. The State of NY sent the tickets to our addressed based on the registration. Despite several attempts over several months we has no resolution from the dealership to try and determine the new ownership, whatever company the resell their trade in to, or even a response to many requests to speak to multiple people including management to attempt to have proof for our now current court case to fight the tickets that Englewood auto group mishandled the trade of the green volvo. Amongst other issues with this dealership as well, we were promised a second key for the Terrain we purchased and have yet to receive that second key, this as well is months later with many voicemails and conversations with multiple people. Both issues are reason to question their business relations but the initial complaint of the trade-in sounds incredibly shady. Standard proceedures were clearly not followed in terms of the registration and the fact that they would not release the name of whom they sell these cars to sounds even more questionable.Desired Settlement: The dealership taking ownership over the error of the resale of the trade-in and compensation for court fees and the key that was promised multiple times.

Review: In 2012 I received a letter from General Motors regarding a faulty fuel level sensor on the Chevrolet Trail Blazer. They advised that if the fuel level sensor would prematurely wear to have this repair done at a Chevrolet dealership and GM will pay 50% of the total cost for the authorized dealer to repair the vehicle with this faulty fuel level sensor. On 6/29/2012, I took my vehicle in to Englewood Auto Group service department to repair this faulty fuel sensor. At that time a paid $260.19 for my 50% of the repair to the fuel level sensor.

In July 2013 I received another notice from General Motor regarding the faulty fuel level sensor replacement will be done at no charge. The letter was accompanied by a General Motors Product Field Action Customer Reimbursement Request Form to be submitted to the Certified GM Service provider. I submitted such form with supporting documentation to Englewood Auto Group 09/2013. I called multiple times to make sure the form had been given to the person in charge of processing this request Mr. [redacted]. The letter from GM stated to contact GM if I had not heard from Englewood Auto Group, which I had contacted on multiple ocassions with no return call on the status of my reimbursement . I finally spoke to the GM liason [redacted] on 11/20/2013 and I was informed that Englewood Auto Group would be issuing a check on 11/22/2013. To this day I have not received such reimbursement or correspondence from Englewood Auto Group. I called and left a voicemail on Mr. [redacted]'s extension with no return phonecall from him or anyone at the service department at Englewood Auto Group. I once again contacted [redacted] the GM liason for an update and I was informed that she can only ask Englewood Auto Group the status of such reimbursement and nothing further can be done from her department.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my reimbursement as I was told would occur for paying my 50% of the repair done at Englewood Auto Group.

Review: I bought a vehicle on April 26,2014 {Saturday} from the Englewood Auto Group and mailed the title to my 2001 Altima trade in to the dealership on April 28, 2014, however when I called and asked for my registration they said they were not in. I called every other day for a week asking for this information. When I left messages I did not receive a call back, finally on Tuesday May 13th I called and they told me that my title still had a lien on it and until they get a clean title they are not going to send me my plates for my new vehicle purchased from Englewood Auto group. I knew this was incorrect so I had my daughter in law whose friend owns dealership in NY to get me the clean title because what I sent them was all I had. In doing this I came to find out that the dealership has a log on the look at every DMV in the United States, which if they did there job would have known that the 2001 Altima had a clean title. They are holding my plates hostage and will not return my calls. My temporary plate expires tomorrow May 15th which leaves me no way to work which is 30 miles from my home. When I spoke with the Manger Regina on May 13th she said that if I wanted my plates I would have to pay her the 750.00 she gave me on the trade in for my 2001 Nissan Altima she would ship my plates Fed Ex overnight.Desired Settlement: If I cant go to work or I get pulled over and the car is impounded, I want reimbursement for loss wages and any impound or ticket charges paid or any expensed I occur do to the delinquency

Response:

I’ve submitted copies of the expired Temp plates 5/15/14 with an accompanied Fed Ex copy reflecting that we did ship Miss [redacted]’s Registration & Plates 5/ 15/14 overnight. The account was actually under [redacted] for a 2011 Nissan Juke. We also did check the DMV log (copy included) & it showed no Lien however as a dealer that does nothing 'for us when we need to re sell the vehicle unfortunately. We still needed the Lien released letter which we finally received. Also copies of refunded monies regarding over charge from Motor Vehicle have been included. This case has been resolved. Please close. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Review: I had a problem with my car and took her to Englewood Auto Group for repair. My car was showing different warning signs like, Traction Control, ABS Brake, Engine Service soon. On July 10, 2013- I took my car to above repair shop and they charged me $123.05 for diagnostic check up, which was refunded later date.On July 18, 2013- I dropped off the car to this repair shop hoping to be able to pick up next morning because they said it should be done by 9AM July 19, 2013. So I took a taxi to the repair shop to pick up at 3PM on July 19, 2013. They claimed that the part they ordered was not delivered yet. So another words, they knew exactly what was wrong with the car and ordered the right parts. They charged me $504.51 which is mainly labor charges (Diagnostic check up)and will be refunded later as they said. So I asked [redacted](No knowledge of his last name) twice if they will refund $504.51 later when the car is fixed and [redacted] answered "Yes" twice. I had to drive my car out of the repair shop because there was no point to leave her when they do not have the parts.July 23, 2013- I called and found out they have received the parts and dropped off the car.July 26, 2013- They charged me $1628.18 and when I asked about the refund money ($504.51), [redacted] said he has never promised such refund. Feeling cheated and totally unsatisfied, I drove out of the shop.July 27, 2013-I found out my problem of warning signs were not fixed at all. Everytime I drive my car, the warning signs such as "Traction Control", "ABS Brake" and "Engine Service Soon" still shows up, which made me believe that the car was not taken care of properly and professionally.I do not think it is worth for me to go back there and get ripped off by these lying , cheating and unreliable people. I am 84 yeard old senior and I have this distasteful and unpleasant feeling that they could easily rip me off and walk away.Desired Settlement: I want to have full refund of $2132.69, which I have paid with credit card.If they refuse to refund, I will dispute the whole amount on my credit card.

Response:

I've submitted a copy of the R/O. We initially quoted Mr. [redacted] for parts only & the confusion was when he returned he believed he paid in full however after getting his daughter to translate we explained that labor was still not paid. Mr. [redacted] agreed and paid the balance. I believe this case has been resolved.

Review: I brought my truck to Englewood Auto Group on 9/26/13 for a high revving engine @ 25-30 mph. I was contacted the next day after they examined the car and was explained that they knew what was wrong and it would cost $1741.76. I was reluctant due to the high cost, but was promised that this would fix all the issues with the Yukon. I picked up my truck on 9/30/13 after paying the $1741.76. I was given my keys and at this time was told that the tech took my truck for a test drive and the engine was revving high around 25 mph. That was the whole reason I brought my truck in, in the first place! I was on my lunch break and already late getting back to work so I was forced to take my truck back in the same condition I brought it to them. I called [redacted](the person whom I dealt with dropping and picking up my truck. He said he needed the truck back and would then drop the oil pan and check the transmission. I brought the truck back on 10/10/13 where it is still there to this day. The last response I got was that I needed a new transmission for $3000. If I would have been told this the first time I would have looked into getting a new truck, but instead they charged me $1700 in repairs that I did not ask for. The only reason I agreed to have the work done was they told me it would fix the truck and return it to me in proper running condition, which it was not. This is dishonesty at the highest level and I am extremely disappointed with the service that I have received.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back. If they would have repaired the truck that would have been great, but they lied and never addressed the reason I brought the truck to them. Instead they repaired my dash board lights and not the issue of the car revving high at 25-30 mph. If they would have told me that the car needs a new transmission I could have gone in a different direction, most likely purchasing a new car or truck. In stead they lied took my money and then give me my keys and oh yeah your car is revving really high when you get to 25 mph. Don't wont to deal with Englewood Auto Group ever again once this is finalized. They never answer the phone, they just transferred me to voice mail time after time. So I tried email, they claimed their internet is down or just take there sweet time responding but not answering the questions asked of them.
