Englewood Orthopedic Associates

Review: Dr. [redacted] of Englewood Orthopedics saw me on 2/11/2014. I had injured my right knee and hip. He had me x-rayed, stood at the doorway of the examination room and tell me he saw nothing wrong on the x-rays, that maybe it was a bruise and if it didn't feel better in three weeks to return. He didn't so much as come into the room and look or feel for any injury. I went to my chiropractor who recommended another orthopedist who actually sat down, felt my knee and recommended an MRI which showed my right knee was out of its socket causing great pain and my right pelvic bone was pulled away from iliac. If Dr. Shah had done what he was supposed to instead of just collecting payments from insurance companies, he might have caught the problem earlier and I wouldn't have had to have been in physical therapy ($50 co-pay per visit) and seeing a chiropractor 3 times a week. Englewood Orthopedics was reimbursed by Medicare and including my $35 co-pay, I owed a balance of $63. Given all of the above, and since the doctor did not do his job, I refused to pay it. It went to collection with an additional $50 added. As far as I'm concerned this is fraud. Dr. Shah did absolutely nothing but have someone take x-rays and he was reimbursed for everything but $63.Desired Settlement: End the collections action. If not I will report this to Medicare.
