Good morning,My complaint against Across Town Movers has not be resolved. I missed the respond to their last message because I was out of town for the holidays. I have not heard anything from this company since early November other then through my Revdex.com complaint. In there message on 12/02/2015 they offered me a $750.00 check to pay for my mattress which I have not received or even know how to go about getting. Also in their last message on 12/21/15 most statements are completely false. I have a written quote for the company which stated and $85 per hour flat rate for the move, which I can send to you if you wish. Also I made [redacted] fully aware of the safe when he come to give me the quote. Thank you for your help in this situations

DEAR [redacted]WHEN [redacted] CALLED ABOUT THE INCORRECT BILLING, IT WAS CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY. WE ORIGINALLY CHARGED HIM 5.5 HOURS (3) 95.00 PER HR. = $522.50. WHEN HE CALLED IT WAS CHANGED TO 5.5 HOURS (G) $85.00 PER HR = $467.50. IN WHICH HE DID SIGN THE BL. HE WAS COMPLAINING OF THE PRICE PER HOUR ONLY, WE CREDITED HIM BACK $140.00 WHICH WAS FAR MORE THEN WE SHOULD OF. HE SHOULD OF ONLY BEEN CREDITED $55.00. THE WRONG RATE HAD GOT PLACED ON THE BL. WHEN DELIVERY DAY CAME WITH THE WEATHER WE WERE RUNNING BEHIND, DUE TO TRAFFIC AND EOUIPMENT ISSUES. WHEN THE MOVERS DID THE DAMAGE | IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED [redacted] TO GO FIX IT ASAP IN WHICH HE DID. AS PER THE MATTRESS BEING SOAKED, NO IT WAS NOT. DAMP YES, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY HAD A LONG CARRY FROM THE VEHICLE TO THE RESIDENCE IN THE WIND AND RAIN. THEY PUT DOWN SOME OF OUR MOVING PADS SO IT COULD AIR DRY. THIS IS NOT CAUSED BY NEGLECT BUT DUE TO THE FACT YOU ARE MOVING IN THE RAIN. . AS PER [redacted] BELOW IS THE CLOSED MATCH TO HIS MATTRESS IN WHICH WE ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR. [redacted]. THE PICTURES OF THE BOX SPRING CLEARLY SHOW THAT A LOT OF THE DAMAGES WERE CLEARLY OLD DAMAGES NOT CAUSED BY US. THE EXTRA MEN WERE ADDING ON THE DELIVERY DUE TO THE FACT OF A 600 LB SAFE HE DID NOT TELL US ABOUT TILL WE ORIGINALLY PICKED HIM UP. TO DELIVERY THIS DID REQUIRE MORE THAN 2 MEN. SO WITH THE ORIGINAL HIDDEN INFORMATION OF WHAT WAS BEING MOVED WAS THE RESULT OF THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE. WHERE HE STATES THAT HE PAID $505.00 FOR DELIVERY AND UNLOAD IS NOT TRUE. HE WAS CHARGED 2 MEN X $85.00 PER HR = $255.00 PLUS HE OWED STG OF $250.00, IF YOU ADD THE 2 TOGETHER IT EOUALS $505.00. REALISTICALLY HE STILL ?W??S F?R??? ???R? ??? ???? V??S ???D?D ?? ??V? ??? 600 ?L?S F?R ??? D???G? ?? ??? DOOR MOLDING THIS WAS CAUSED BY A 600LB SAFE THAT YOU WANTED US TO GET IN A SMALL CLOSET AREA. THE MOVERS ADVISED YOU THAT IT WOULD BE HARD DUE TO THE WEIGHT AND SIZE. DID RESPPOND TO HIS CLAIM WITH $120.00 PER THE .60 PER LB PER ARTICLE INSURNACE THAT WE SELECTED. WE PROMPTLY RESPONDED TO ALL HIS DEMANDS, THE ADJUSTING OF THE BILL, THE RESPONSE TO THE CLAIM AND CREDITING HIS CARD BACK FOR THE DIFFERENCE.

The first is the movers did not “ discovered” the safe, the same movers that packed it where the ones that unloaded it. Also when they came to give the estimate I made the employee full aware of the safe. The second false statement is the safe had to be moved up stairs, I live in a single story home.THE PROCESS THEY DAMAGED CLOSET DOOR JAM AND WALL STUCCO. ACROSS TOWN MOVERS SENT A REPAIRMAN TO RAPAIR THE DAMAGES. HE DID SO ON NOVEMBER 13, 2015. SEE ATTACHED INVOICE # [redacted].It was not the safe that damaged the stucco. The stucco also was not repaired properly, the color is not even close the making the original. I have pictures to prove this.AN EMPLOYEE OF ACROSS TOWN MOVERS WAS SENT TO MR. [redacted]’S HOME TO INSPECT AND TAKE PHOTOS OF THE MATTRESS. THE DISCOROTATION THE MATTRESS CLEARLY INDICATEDS PREEXISTING WATER STAINS.Their employees admit that they were the ones the soaked the mattress causing the water stains.
