In response to Mr***s complaint the following occurred at our campground upon his arrival.Mr*** informed our desk that he and a companion would be arriving by Kayak to our campgroundHe asked if someone would be able to help lug his gear up to his camp site upon arrivalI had made
arrangements also for one of our seasonal campers to help with his baggage and Mr*** was rude to himMr*** was coming in from Canada.First, Mr*** arrived illegally at our campground by not clearing customs firstI informed him that he would have to clear customs before he could go up to his sitePerturbed by this Mr*** asked if I would call customs so they could come to the campgroundThis is not my responsibility to call customs, it is Mr*** and Mr*** should have done this prior to arriving at the campground. So I did call customs and they informed me that Mr*** "better get over to the downtown dock"If not he and his companion can be fined $5,each for not clearing customs before arriving at our campgroundI informed Mr*** of customs response and he packed up his gear again and kayaked over to the down dock which is about 1/a mile down the bay.Mr*** decided he did not want to come back to the campground after clearing customs stating: The tide was coming in and he did not want to come back up the bayAccording to Mr*** he had just made a journey from the *** *** ***Traveling back to our campground would not be a feat that he could not handle considering his past trip. Our policy is no refunds after arrivalMr***'s deposit for his stay was not refunded considering he did arrive at the campgroundWe made every attempt to accommodate him legally. If Mr*** cleared customs properly he would not have had to make the extra trip to town. I made every attempt to accommodate Mr***.I can only suggest that if he plans on entering the country on another trip that he does it legally. If you have any questions please feel free to call me.Thank you*** ***Manager

[I was never rude to anyone on the Staff at the campground, despite the fact that every attempt was made by the manager to ensure that we did not feel welcome. Rather than dispute the "she said-he said" allegations, my complaint centers around the the fact that NO REFUNDS WERE ALLOWED, DESPITE THE FACT THAT WE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY SERVICES OR STAY AT THE CAMPGROUND.]
