Review: EnGlobe govenrment services division promised to help us file our USDA application to enable our stores to handle EBT benefits. After paying over $2000 it became a nightmare to get ahold of them, to get assistance in making sure our application was filed and done correctly, anything! We waited months only to have our application denied as they provided no directives in how things needed to be set up correctly. Our other application never even got that far as they kept saying they were waiting on the USDA to do their part only to find out that they did not have all the documentation in despite our sending them needed items multiple times. At this point I feel a refund is the only way to recify this as they clearly are fraudulant.Desired Settlement: We want our original money refunded- two wire transfers of $1050.65 each.

Review: As a new small business owner I came across the company (ENGLOBEWORLDPAY) on line claiming that they were a government based companyoffering EBT/FNS equipment for retailers out of Stockton,California. I called the company ([redacted]) in June of thisyear to inquire about the EBT/FNS equipment for my business. I wastold by the customer service rep ([redacted]) that I would firstneeded to be approved by their company as a business owner to offerEBT/FSN to my customers. She emailed me the application shortlyafter. As part of the application, I needed to provide a copy of avoided check and a credit card authorization for when I was approvedto offer the EBT/FNS. I was verbally told by [redacted] that theequipment cost a one time payment of $1,050.65. I needed to fax and end the completed application to the [redacted] address. A day or two after I faxed over the application I sawthat they had debited two transactions of $1,50.65 totaling$2101.30. I contacted the company that same day (06/13/15) and wastold that it was a mistake and that I would get a refund within 48hrs. About a week after I called them again and I was transferred tothe owner of the company ([redacted]). At first heprovided me with a fake name ([redacted] and he assured me that he wouldrefund me the money no later than a week. He gave me his cell #([redacted]) and kept corresponding with me via text and email.Every time I would inquire about my refund he would tell me that hewas always in a meeting and he would call me later. That neverhappened. I would call the company # and was put on hold, speakerphone (where I could hear him in the back coaching the rep on how toanswer my questions about the refund). I called every other day and left messages with [redacted] and other women. He would never return mycalls. I decided to research his name online and came acrossinformation pertaining to his previous arrests and criminal chargesfor fraud, writing bad checks, larceny, burglary, on probation since1996 on more than 50 counts of theft for pocketing customers'computers, programs as well as money. I also contacted the SuperiorCourt of California-County of San Joaquin and after giving his namewas told that he has a lot of crimes all over the state with similarcomplaints from other people. I also found out that he is an illegalfrom Barbados. I contacted ICE and gave them this tip. I still callthe company and leave messages with the women that answer the phone. It has been a couple of months and I he never returns my calls orhas refunded my money. On 7/23/15 (prior to me finding out hishistory) he had me wire to a bank account $1050.65.He said it wasfor the EBT/FNS terminal and pinpad. The owner also goes by [redacted]. Has multiple websites with the same phone#[redacted])Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund of $2,101.30 that was debited from my bank account without my authorization. I need the funds as soon as possible as guaranteed funds such as a bank check, money order, or wire transfer.

Review: I am writing this letter to address very unsettling business practices I have experienced from Englobe bankcard while trying to obtain EBT services.

I filled out the information on the link and my initial contact with Englobe was a verbal conversation I had with a representative name [redacted]. [redacted] asked me a few questions about my business then mentioned she would send me an email which would contain all of the information I would need to apply for EBT. Not one time did she mention she represented a credit card company. On June 7th I received an email from [redacted]@englobebankcard.com ("Government Service Division") entitled New Merchant Packet. A couple of days later I opened the attachments in the email and began filling out the application. While filling out the application I became suspicious upon reading the documents. The first thing I noticed was all of the information on the application was already pre-typed with monetary values that were incorrect and had not been discussed with me prior. Section 7, on the merchant application question 1 ask "Are you now processing or have processed MC/VISA/DISC/AMEX? Englobe conveniently typed N/A on my behalf without asking whether or not I accepted credit cards. Question 2 under the same section ask name of processor. Englobe typed N/A again on my behalf. Section 4 they typed my monthly volume was $16,000.00. Englobe stated my AMEX transactions were $1,000.00 (I never have and never will accept AMEX cards). Section 12 item 9 states I have a annual revenue of $175,000.00. I do not know where those figures came from but I do wish those figures were true. After reviewing those documents I called Englobe and spoke with [redacted] again, I informed her that the information they filled out on my behalf was all incorrect. I told her that I already had credit card processing service through my bank and I have a three year contract with my current provider. I asked would this service work in conjunction with the service that I currently had and she stated yes. I would not know the procedure of EBT because I have never had the service before so I accepted her information as factual. [redacted] told me she would redo the application and resend it to me via email. On June 24th 2013 I received another email from [redacted]. I did not open the email immediately because at that point I was not sure if I was still going to proceed with the service because it seemed as if it was going to cost me more money than I had anticipated. During this time I received an annoying amount of calls from Englobe representatives checking to see if I had completed the application. Unfortunately, I filled out the original application and upon doing so looked over the credit card application and noticed they were charging me for a terminal. I called [redacted] again to inform her that I already had a credit card terminal. She then forwarded my call to the president of Englobe Mr. [redacted], who also confirmed that I would possibly need a new terminal. Mr. [redacted] then asked me what kind of terminal I had and I told him. He then stated that I would need to purchase a key pad for $450.65 in order to accept EBT. He also stated the key pad should cost more but he would sell it to me for $450.65 (what a deal). I sent the application and the credit card payment for $450.65 for the keypad, and about a week or two weeks later I received the keypad. About three days after receiving the keypad I received a call from a representative from Englobe who asked if I had received the keypad and asked if I was ready to download the program to start accepting EBT. I began to download the program as he requested. After it was over I then asked if I was now able to accept EBT. He then stated that I could accept the cash portion of EBT but not the food. I then told him that it was the food portion that I was interested in. He stated someone would come to inspect the kitchen and then approve me for the food portion of EBT. As highly disappointed as I was I had no choice but to wait. Desired Settlement: About 15 minutes after downloading the program, one of my employees came to me and told me the receipts on the credit card terminal had all changed. I didn't know what she meant so I went to the register and much to my surprise the receipts had changed. It was then that I realized Englobe had switched my service to a new credit card processing company. I immediately called Englobe and spoke with the president again Mr.[redacted] and I was so angry I could hardly get my words out. I told him that I did not want my service changed and I told him he was extremely deceptive and a crook, I told him that I was already in a contract with Elavon and had already purchased1000 gift cards from my current merchant and I will not change. He then offered me 100 free gift cards to go along with his service. HOW STUPID DOES THAT SOUND? I immediately called my current merchant [redacted] (a reputable company) to have them to switch my service back. Upon my original company [redacted] trying to switch my service back they realized that a block was now on my terminal and they could not do it without having Englobe on the phone. I called Mr. [redacted] from Englobe back with my current merchant on the phone and they switched my service back. Before hanging up the phone with both of them on the phone I told my [redacted] representative that I had just been duped and swindled by this other company (Englobe) and she agreed then we hung up the phone. I immediately received a call from Mr. [redacted] and he stated that he did not appreciate me saying that he was a swindler and I told him that is exactly what he was. He then stated that the only thing that messed everything up was the gift card. At that very moment I couldn't do anything but look at the phone because I could not believe the stupidity that I just heard. I then told him I was sending his terminal back to him and I expected a full refund. He said he would give me a full refund upon receipt of the terminal. I then called my current merchant service to ask if I could accept EBT service through Evalon and they said I could. Elavon informed me the terminal would cost me $165.00 for the very same keypad that Englobe sold me for $450.65 (oh yeah, and he said he gave me a deal on it). On August 26, 2013 I shipped the terminal via USPS and it arrived to Englobe on August 29th 2013. On Friday the 30th, and September 2nd 2013, I called Englobe from my business phone and my cell phone and coincidentally no one would answer the phone. How odd this was not to receive a call back when I could not get rid of them during the initial process. I called all day left messages and no one would return my call. On the September 3rd, I used one of my employees' cell phone to call and miraculously Mr. [redacted] answered the phone. While having him on speaker phone so my staff could verify my conversation with him because I knew he could not be trusted and was an obvious liar, I verified if he had received the key pad and he stated yes. I then asked when could I expect to receive my refund and he stated he would put the full refund back onto the credit card within 7 days. I am yet waiting, and from the sound of everyone else's experience on the Revdex.com I more than likely never will.

With that in mind I plan to tell everyone I can about my experience in dealing with Englobe. Since I won't be receiving my money back at least I will have the satisfaction in alerting everyone who will listen about the deceptive service that I received from Englobe and Mr.[redacted] the president. I will also suggest that they take a close look at all of his activities on the Revdex.com website to substantiate my claim. I will be sending correspondences to USDA EBT, [redacted] and [redacted] President of Worldpay US. Since I have a close relationship with the executive producer [redacted] the Executive Producer of KTLA (5) local morning news and [redacted] of CNN for I believe this should be an interesting investigative story.

Review: englobe charged my company d&d bbq $1266.25 for a keypad and credit card terminal which I don,t have and are acting on a rescended signature and a cancelled contract !! I initially spoke to china, then [redacted],and [redacted] who all assured me that they would be helping me set up my business to accept ebt cash cards only! seeing as I advised them all that I just renewed a contract with my card merchant. So after that I recieved a keypad which was returned and a terminal was suppose to be sent which I never recieved!! at the time I discovered that englobe was trying to slam my company by taking all my card business which is not what was discussed so I cancelled the contract and rescended my signature then requested that my money be refunded which was about 90 days ago!!!so I want a full refund and a guarantee from englobe that I won,t be receiving any bills from any of there affiliates due to this cancelled contract!!Desired Settlement: refund of all funds paid to englobe!!!

Business

Response:

This merchant was told from the beginning that if he wants to apply for ebt services through Englobe, all merchant credit card processing services will be processed through Englobe partner network, unless he opt for a new terminal to process only EBT. The merchant opt for a new terminal with services. A terminal and pinpad was shipped to the merchant via USPS. Our agreement clearly states. Once equipment has been deployed, merchant cannot return the said equipment for any reason other than repair or service. The merchant knew the rules very well. The merchant solicited Englobe to provide services. We provided both service and equipment. The signed an agreement.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:we never accepted delivery of the terminal and englobe clearly stated by their own admittance that unless we opted to recieve a new terminal that would process ebt only !! Which says clearly we stated during several conversations ebt only!!!! Englobe in part and in whole have acted with callice, malice, and violated a number of laws and rules that govern them as a matter if law!! Upon discovering facts of non disclosure, bait and switch, and the fraud that was committed after we exercised our right to cancel and rescend all contracts and signatures!! The experience is totally awful, unprofessional, and disheartening in the spirit of fair business trades and practices!!!englobe in part, or whole along with any affiliates involved in this ordeal owe a duty to d &d to return and refund all monies recieved which total 1266.00

Business

Response:

We cannot operate a business on emotions. We did our part by providing the merchant with the services and equipment he requested. The merchant has the equipment and at this point it is his. We are not going to debate that matter any further. He was email an agreement. He reviewed, signed and returned it by fax.

Review: Hello,We engaged Englobe for EBT processing and ended up terminating ALL contracts with Englobe in 2013.They have ACH'd $375 from our bank accounts without any authorization in December 2014. This is simply illegal! We have not ordered OR received any products or services for this deductions and have no intentions of doing business with Englobe. I have contacted the owner ([redacted]) & his company several times via phone calls and emails and to this date have not received the funds back.Desired Settlement: Englobe must refund $375.00 immediately. If Revdex.com is not able to convince the business to refund us funds illegally withdrawn, I want Revdex.com to suggest an alternative solution to stop this company from operating and pursuing legal action to the fullest extent of the law.I have copies of ACH drafts & all email communications if required by the Revdex.com.

Business

Response:

We are in contact with the client. Hopefully this matter can be resolved within a matter of days.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I need to see those funds, $375.00 to be exact, deposited back into the bank accounts it was deducted from before Friday, 2-6-2015, before I accept any other response from EnGlobe. They had already agreed to make the deposits almost 3 weeks ago. Please note that I will be filing an official complaint with State Attorney General's Office as well if the funds have not been received on time.

Consumer

Response:

This is to confirm that two checks totaling $375.00 were physically deposited at a[redacted] branch on Saturday, 2-14-2015. If the deposits are NOT returned due to NSF, we will consider this complaint as resolved satisfactorily. Please note that for any future “unauthorized deductions,” we will file a complaintwith California State Attorney General’s Office at http://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company.We do not have any existing contracts with EnGlobe BankCard.[redacted]

Review: Business terms were not agreed to and contract was cancelled Day 1 after finding out that the equipment could not be used.

Sales Rep willingly forced a contract that was void Day 1 after agreeing that I was not going to pursue the terms due to a gap in the equipment. The company went ahead and processed and billed me for credit card processing fees without me knowing. I never received any credit card processing equipment and my business [redacted] is NOT OPEN. After 6 months of a monthly bill I saw and did not recognize the fee on my statement and filed Fraud with Bank of America. Bank of America put a stop payment on the automatic ACH that was covering the fee. I have called this company every day at least 20 times a day and can only get a voice message and no one will return my call. I believe they are illegally charging me and this is complete Fraud. Desired Settlement: Would like to be refunded all credit card processing fees from inception since the contract was void Day 1 and agreed that we would not pursue. I also never got any phone calls or any equipment that you would normally get if I was a client. I am not able to get in touch with anyone in the company and have not been able to resolve the situation.

Initial Business Response

This is no an Englobe account. The merchant needs to contact the company listed on the statements and take up the matter with them. We are just an equipment, and service provider, not MS biller.

Consumer Response

Also, the contract I received from the Bank of America fraud case only shows one signature. It is missing the second owner which would also make it void. the Vendor and I agreed not to pursue the contract after realizing the credit card and EBT processing equipment had to be supplied by the merchant / vendor and the processing and no other equipment could be used. I did not want the vendor's additional terminal therefore we agreed not to pursue the contract.

This client applied for services several month's ago. He was sent the terminals he paid for. Englobe provided the services and equipment the merchant requested and purchased. The merchant call about a month later to activate his equipment but claim he had a language problem. We did our best to provide the client with the best of service but he is very difficult to deal with. We will enforce our agreement. His agreement clearly states there are no refunds on equipment after 72 hours from the date he received the said equipment.

Review: I ordered EBT Service for my convenience store on July 30th 2014. I was told I would need a separate equipment which was $965. Customer service rep [redacted] informed me I will receive the state inspection, equipment between August 1st-31st. My bank account was charged $1050.65 for the equipment, when I asked the difference in price I was told maybe she forgot to mention the sales tax.I was not pleased but I went ahead with my order.I never received any service or equipment, no one came to inspect the location for EBT(Food Stamp) approval from state. I called & left messages in between to check on the status of my order I was told they are working on it. On September 10th after 40+ days I cancelled my order. I spoke to my assigned agent Amanda x104 she told me there will be $30 fee to cancel the order which I agreed. I received a call from Mr. [redacted] immediately after cancelling the order he introduced himself as manager & assured me he will personally look into this matter & was surprised that I didn't get any machine during this time period. I gave him my reason for cancellation, poor service, poor communication and non delivery of my order & he agreed that my order was not handled right. I didn't hear from him after that.I received a box with equipment 9 days after cancelling my order I didn't accept the delivery since I had already cancelled my order.I got a welcome letter from First data dated 9/25/2014 with ID. First Data Customer service tried conferencing to resolve this issue since englobe is there agent but the Secretary doesn't put any manager on the phone or forward to accounts department, she keeps saying leave your number and someone will call you back.Since then I have not received any refund,I tried communicating through Faxes, e-mail keeps bouncing back, no one picks up my phone. It's been very frustrating to deal with this situation. Englobe scammed me for $1050.65 and still doing business. I will have no choice but to take legal action if they don't refund my money.Desired Settlement: Englobe can keep the $30 cancellation fee and rest should be refund out of $1050.65 that I paid.

Response:
The Merchant applied for card processing service back in July 2014 an account was established and the merchant equipment was shipped. The merchant called several weeks later and said she never received the said equipment. However this was done only after a representative called to download the new equipment and leave a message on the merchant's answer machine. A second peice of equipment was shipped since the merchant said she never received the first shipment . This merchant failed to return her original signed documentation for signature verification along with other information that were requested. Several phone calls were made to contact the merchant but she never answers her business or cell phone. The agent assigned to the merchant account was interviewed prior to this response and she too had a hard time receiving any documents from the merchant, she stated the merchant will call at sometimes and only ask when will she be receiving an inspection, the merchant were told she must return the requested documents to completed her EBT application. The merchant called in November requesting a refund and were told Englobe won't be issuing a refund since she signed a three year agreement and she had fail to returned other documentation as required. The merchant were never told about any inspection date since Englobe has nothing to do with USDA'S site inspection.

Response:
I am rejecting this response because:I never received any equipment or any communication from englobe till the time I cancelled my order, the reason for cancellation was not delivering for 40 days not the state inspections.I would like englobe to provide the proof of mailing the equipment before 9/10/2014 (cancellation date) which they claim they did. At the time of cancellation I was told $30 fee for canceling not that there are no refunds. Had I known there are no refunds then I would have kept the equipment sent to me on 9/19/2014 even after I cancelled. I didn’t have to order another company. As per englob’s claim that they couldn’t reach me is completely untrue, I gave my cell so they could contact me anytime, rather I had time getting anyone on the phone I would leave messages and send hand written faxes to communicate with them. I provided all the paperwork and confirmed with Amanda(customer service rep.) if they needed anything else from me and I was told everything was fine. Englobe’s claim that they didn’t give any time line is not true either, when I asked how much time for the entire process to be completed Amanda told me 30 days. She said someone will inspect the location between August1st and 31st meanwhile they will ship the equipment. I already got a equipment from another company in 5 days and state inspections in 18 days in November. englobe wasted almost 1 1/2 months and still claim they are not at fault.I gave business to englobe paid for my order but theycouldn’t deliver it and now for the refund they are making false excuses.

Response:
In response to [redacted]'s  allegations that Englobe could not deliver. This untrue. The merchant waited until she was in the approval process for EBT then called and try to cancel her equipment order of which was deployed and accepted by the merchant.  This is  typical of  unscrupulous merchants. The merchant signed an agreement. The agreement clearly states in section (k) equipment: Merchant may not return equipment for any reason other than for repair or replacement. The merchant stated in an earlier  correspondence to the Revdex.com that "had she knew that she could no return the equipment she would have kept it". The  merchant knew what she was signing. Some merchant get their equipment cheaper elsewhere and would go to any length to get a refund by making bogus claims. This merchant's account is now closed, any fees owed by merchant will be invoiced if unpaid after 30 days it will be sent to collections.

Response:
I am rejecting this response because I asked for proof for any equipment shipped or merchant ID or account set up between 7/31/2014 ( order date) and 9/10/2014 (cancellation date) which Englobe didn't provide. Again the reason for cancellation was no delivery or communication for 40 days as I had mentioned before. I am attaching order communication which shows the money drafted was more then the sales rep. Amanda told me it would cost, when I asked I was told she might have forgotten tomention the sales tax! after that no one picked up my phone calls until I left a message for order cancellation. I still waited for my order long enough before I cancelled it. The contract section K -Equipment says "Merchant must purchase equipment as part of this contract". I paid but never got a thing till I cancelled so the agreement doesn't apply if I have no equipment to do my business/sales there is no question of holding on to my money.I am attaching the copy of the mailed equipment dated 9/17/2014 after the order cancellation on 9/10/2014 and welcome letter withmerchant ID dated 9/25/2014for your reference. There is no confusion from my side but its hard for Englobeto refund the money inspite of knowing they lacked in service at there end. Englobe needs to provide proof of any shipment returned by me before cancellation as they had claimed I cancelled due to finding a cheaper machine which is completely untrue and my paper work proves that I waited long time for Englobe to process my order.

Business
Response:
In response to the merchant stating that she requested to canceled the service before she received the equipment . This is false. There's no verbal or written request documented. The merchant have broken all agreements that were signed by her. Englobe, will no longer respond to any request from this merchant since she's no longer an active client.

Review: Englobe sent us an outdated credit card machine. Also took money out of our account for EBT membership. We don't take EBT transactions.

Englobe in May 2013, sold us a credit card processing machine that they told me it was a new VX570. Instead they sent me a Omni 3750 and charged me $600. The Omni 3750 was the same machine I already had. This terminal has been classified as "End of Life" and has not been supported for downloads since June 1, 2013. This terminals memory has reached its capacity and therefore can no longer be updated via a download to support further association and PCI compliance mandates. It can experience a critical failure. The old machine they sent me can be bought online for $99. We talked to a man named [redacted] several times, he promised to mail me a new machine several times over months. It never came. Now we only get an answer machine, we leave many messages and they don't return our messages. On Dec. 11th, 2013, Englobe took $125 out of my checking account for EBT membership. We don't do EBT transactions at our store. They didn't send us a Pin pad that was compatible to even work so we can't take debit cards.Desired Settlement: We want the VX570 machine as a replacement and the pin pad that goes with it. We also want a refund of the $125.00 for the EBT membership which we don't do EBT transactions. We need the machine to be programmed so we can use it.

Initial Business Response

In response to this merchant's complaint. We provide a service to the merchant as requested along with processing equipment. The merchant choose to act like this is a car business and he was purchasing a vehicle.

It is no fault of Englobe that the merchant did not process EBT transactions. The merchant failed to inform the agent who dealt with him about his prior EBT/SNAP troubles, with the USDA food program of which we cannot disclose, to protect the merchant's privacy. We however is still working with the merchant to resolve his complaint. We do not promise to sent merchants a specific brand or model of terminal, however this merchant paid for and received what was in stock at the time the transaction was done. Also our EBT processing merchants pay $ 125.00 yearly fee. We do warranty their terminals for 5 years and ship free supplies as needed.

Response:
Per all merchant agreements. If a merchant signed up  for card services all signed agreements are for period of three year.  It clearly stated in section (k) Terms and Conditions For Merchant Electronic Benefits Transfer (Equipment). Once merchant's account has been setup and equipment deploy merchant cannot return equipment for any reason except for repair or replacement if damaged.
The merchant in question sign this agreement.

Thank you.
