[redacted]Via Electronic MailRE: Ms. [redacted] - [redacted]Bill Number: [redacted]Dear Ms. [redacted],Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns. USBI is engaged in the business ofaggregating records for various telecommunications service providers and transmitting those records to theLocal Exchange Carriers. USBI is not itself a telecommunications company; nor does it provide anytelecommunications services of any kind. USBI has no involvement in the process of switching customersfrom one carrier to another, or verifying those switches. Each long distance provider for which we performrecord processing services should provide records regarding services that are properly authorized and inaccordance with the appropriate regulations.Ms. [redacted] disputes the charges in question submitted on behalf of Access LD. As Access LD prefers toaddress their own regulatory matters, we would like to request that your office serve them directly at theaddress below. Their response should provide more information regarding their services and what may haveoccurred in this matter. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance.Sincerely,[redacted]Regulatory Managercc: Access LDAttn: [redacted]Email: [redacted]Phone [redacted]Email: [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Access LD, who USBI claims to be at fault, has not been the company charging me for services on my AT&T billing statement. It seems no company wants to take responsibility. When I contacted AT&T, they said USBI was responsible. I would just like my money returned. USBI collected money for services that were not provided by Access LD or AT&T. When I initially contacted USBI, they told me they had record of my last long distance call, made in 2012. If USBI knows I have no long distance and haven't had it in 3 years, why were they still charging me and why would they not care enough to verify "switches in carriers?" In my opinion, both USBI and Access LD are at fault for a lack of communication and falsely charging customers. Whichever company actually received my money, I believe to be USBI, should reimburse me. If Access LD was receiving my money on behalf of USBI, they should reimburse me.
