IQ-8 NIGHTMARE
Does anyone have any experience good/ bad with the Iq8m-72-2-us ?
We installed a 12k system in June and it's been giving out 6k to 8k max.
We've added the filters and all the bells and whistles that are suggested from Enphase customer service but still nothing.
There was a surg /power outage within 1 week of installation and since the PTO hadn't been issued the system was hooked up but not working. I add that because I've seen other comments where if a power surge occurred, the system went down.
Again, any and all suggestions/ advice/ words of knowledge are encouraged and appreciated.
IQ-8 NIGHTMARE

Solar Panels bad inverter
I had solar panels made by Enphase Energy Inc. solars installed by FAFCO in Cape Coral, FL. I spent thousands of dollars and within 6 months electric bills began increasing from $37 to over $141. Phoned Enphase and was told after checking there was a bad inverter. I reviewed company and agree with Janet V. that a class action lawsuit is warranted, since when purchased no one informed me that this company must monitor the system for an additional cost either on internet or for a $500 charge. I am a snowbird and do not keep internet at my Florida home. Warranty was also decreased from 20 years to 15 years after purchase. I have read all the issues on here from the other complainants and believe a contingent class action suit is warranted. I am 82 years old and have worked hard for my money and do not want to be scammed by anyone. I have been asked to pay more money to fix an issue that should be covered by the warranty. This worries me since I have only had these panels for 6 months and they are saying the warranty is only good if they are monitoring these panels for an additional charge. This information was not given to me at time of purchase and you cannot change the contract as you go along. These inverters should not continue to be sold if they are in fact continuing to be DEFECTIVE or they should be fixing them without asking any questions and pay for the increase in the electric bill, since the reason it was bought in the first place was to SAVE money. GARY A ISTERLING CAPE CORAL FL. I advise all to call the Better Business Bureau, your state's Attorney General's office and Consumers Advocates of USA.

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/01/14) */ I sent email to this individual on 01/13/2016, addressing the delays in processing replacements caused by a temporary inventory shortage of adapter cables, noting the relatively consistent annual energy-production at the site, and apologizing for the unit-failures experienced at this site to-dateIt should be noted that our company has never failed to fulfill its product-warranty obligations, and this was conveyed as wellI proposed a potential path forward to this customer, in the event that any future unit-failures were encounteredThis individual responded via email on 01/14/2016, agreeing to the idea proposed, and indicating that it would be a fair solution to the issue that she raised on this forum

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] It is a response, but it is not greatWaiting -weeks for a warranty replacement is not acceptableThe business only issued the RMA because Revdex.com contacted the businessIt seems to become a common business practice to offer a long warranty, but having no intention to fulfil it when the time comes Thank you Revdex.com team for your support Sincerely, [redacted]
