We will not refute the fact that there was some monumental issues with the Volkswagon JettaUnfortunately, these occurrences are not unusual with VW transmissionsFirst of all, there was an issue with the charging sysytem and that absolutely can have an effect on the calibration between computer
and transmission, not torque converterWe needed to change the battery and the alternator and did it at our cost with no impact to customer.We subsequently had obvious synergy problems with computer to transmissionWe ascertained a computer to resolve the issue to no availThe computer on this system is a plug and play meaning it does not need to be flashed to ascertain synergyAfter a very zealous effort we believed we resolved the synergy problemWe tested to very satisfactory resultsThe customer picked it up a couple of days later and the claibration failed.Although we did not get it perfect we believed we were very close but did not get another attempt to resolve the synergyThe allegation that the existing transmission (rebuilt from us at aamco) is no good is absurdI challenge any knowledgeable transmission tech to refute our position.It should be known that we provided a new battery, alternator, valve body and computer at no cost to the customerThe computer was subsequently replaced although it was not initially and did not fall under the parameters of the warrantyWe ackknowledge our responsibility and our more than willing to complete the calibration process to the customers satisfactionDuring this process we will be responsible for the plaintiffs transportation.
