Hello. We had updated the complaint (rejection of Entech response) to note that an HVAC specialist installed a capacitor on the AC to see if hooking it up again would resolve it that way- this was the last information you had. [redacted]’s warranty requirements required us to have the unit maintained a few weeks ago and that new company already tried to hookup the AC and the capacitor did not bring the draw down enough and the [redacted] still will not work as promised by Entech (this is new information for you). The new company that serviced the [redacted] stated that the existing AC will never be able to hookup with the existing generator, therefore having Entech come out to hook it up again would not work. Again, this is a new development. The new company also confirmed a load shed device will not fix the undersized [redacted].I have now had three companies tell me a New AC/HVAC system will not necessarily work with the existing generator, even though [redacted] advertises it as such. Those companies are:Entech itself[redacted]The new company we used to have the [redacted] serviced; selling and servicing both HVAC and Generators None would guarantee a new HVAC/AC system will work on the existing generator. It therefore appears as though the only resolution would be a full refund of the system or an upsized [redacted]. The current draw w/o HVAC running is 4amps and whole house uses 49amps with the HVAC/AC running with the installed capacitor. This [redacted] is rated at 45 amps max only.I again reiterate that when we had called [redacted] several months ago, they indicated that Entech should have measured the draw for the AC/HVAC/house, not just assume the [redacted]  would work based on the AC tonnage. Had Entech done this measurement, they would have known that the [redacted] would not work and could not be sold to us. [redacted] left the resolution of this matter to us with their dealer and would not intercede, thus our filing the complaint with you.  Thank you. I definitely would like to know if and when this gets closed and what if any assistance you offer to escalate this situation with other entities. Also, any documents filed by us (copies of complaint, response, etc) would be appreciated. We were locked out of the original website we filed those on for some reason.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency and ASHRAE, a modern central air conditioning system should last for anywhere from 15 to 20 years if it;, cared for properly. [redacted] has infomed me that her AC unit is more than 28 years old  and that [redacted] recommended a new more...

efficient AC unit, a [redacted] Smart Management Module or a larger generator. [redacted] originally had two generators to choose from  16kw or 11 kw. She chose the 11 kw because the l6kw was not in the budget. Penny and her son did mention that they wanted the AC unit on the ll kw generator.  I am providing: manufacture specs from the ICP AC Model [redacted] that [redacted] owns. lt clearly states she owns a 2 1/2 ton AC unit. I am also providing the [redacted] sizing calculator found on [redacted].com that clearly describes the 11 kw [redacted] generator capabilities to handle up to a 3 Ton AC unit. Let the documents show that everything was done correctly. Joe

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Joe has offered NO RESOLUTION in his reply. Joe has not included information to indicate why he did not use a draw tool to measure the total amp draw of the house and each individual system as required by [redacted]  (per our call with [redacted]) in order to size the system, nor does he explain that when  he was told that "ok, we will get a new ac", Joe replied that this MAY NOT FIX this issue of the generator shutting down. He was clearly told the AC must work and he admits to this in his response. He told my son specfically that the 11kwh will work and my son can attest to this fact. We did have the owner of a heating/cooling company come out with a draw tool to see if the AC was working as designed, and in fact it is drawing it's intended max lock rotor speed of 72 amps as designed (this is only at startup), and about running of 7-8 amps running. The owner of the heating cooling system clearly stated that a new system would probably not run with much less of a initial high draw for the max lock rotor speed at startup and therefore we would continue to have the same issue. We did spend more money with the heating and cooling company and had a capacitor added at his suggestion which has now lowered the max lock rotor speed to 50. We have obtained information from [redacted] that its LRA is 92. We now assume this capacitor may have resolved this issue if Joe Torres would return to hookup the AC circuits he unhooked during his last visit. That is our new suggested resolution.
Regards,
[redacted]
