Today is April 14, 2013. My ** year old mother and I decided to see the movie 42 about Jackie Robinson. The paper stated times of 12:30 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and others. We decided to see 42 at 1:00 p.m. We were hoping to avoid the ten minutes previews, but received more. There was a technical problem where the same screen was showing for 15 minutes. Then we also had to sit through the 10 minutes of previews. The movie was excellent and someone did come into the theater to apologize, but afterwards, I wanted to speak to the [redacted]. She introduced herself as [redacted] and gave an excuse that they just purchased new projectors. As a [redacted] and a professional, I would have accepted an apology from [redacted] but she refused to give me her last name. I did not ask for compensation to everyone in the building. Her lack of sympathy and responsibility was unprofessional. If her business purchased new equipment, then it should have been in proper working order before any public viewing. Again, the movie was listed to start at 1:00 p.m., but we did not get home until 4:00 p.m. as the paper listed the movie time as 128 minutes. I spoke to the[redacted], sent an e-mail to the company and now voiced my opinion to you. We enjoyed the movie, but the service was unacceptable for a business. Compensation was not offered.Desired SettlementA refund would be nice. Two tickets to another show would also be acceptable and an apology letter would be acceptable.Business' Initial Response The consumer contacted the theater directly. The issue has already been resolved.
