Our firm, and senior partner Vincent RC*** were victims of a criminal identity theft. Bogus emails falsely purporting to be from *** C*** were sent to an unknown number of wholly unsuspecting individuals, such as *** *** regarding a fictitious divorce proceeding.These emails did not
come from our firmNor is "ent-law.com" affiliated with our firm. This crime has been reported to the proper law enforcement authorities.See Business Wire press release dated March **, 2017, "Spoof Email Scam Impersonates Entwistle & C*** Partner."As stated therein: “We apologize to everyone that received this email for any inconvenience or distress it may have causedWhile the firm itself appears to have been a target, the real victims of this scam are the countless good people that were exposed to this malicious act.”Moreover, "our outside IT consultants advise that the email points to a link which will, if opened, expose your computer to a virus[P]lease do not open the link or attachment."Again, we apologize to *** and *** *** and all other unsuspecting victims of this crime.We ask that any further information be submitted to the FBI Cybercrime Tip website or the Cybercrime Unit of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, to which this criminal matter has been reported
