I have been a customer of Enviro Tech in Carbondale for nearly years--setting up quarterly service before we even moved in, based on our realtor's recommendationHowever, I have finally decided to cancel the service and find a better company with whom to get servicesThe problem is not with the actual pest treatment of the home, rather the business practices and office staff The office staff (Kim) is incredibly rude and pushy Quarterly service is supposed to happen every three months They claim that they will call you and set up the appointment However, when the weather is warm and they have plenty of other business, they tend to call every 4-months, which I find very frustrating When the weather is frigid and pests are no problem and business is slow, they call and demand to come within the weekKim's demeanor is very threatening More recently, we have had an issue with being charged twice for the same serviceLast fall, when I received a bill for services we already paid, I called and Kim was not the one who helped me The person found that an error had been made and apologized and that was the end of it However, today I called and talked to Kim, explaining that we paid on Jan and April for the same December service (oh yes, and NO we have not been called for our quarterly service in spite of it being over months since the last service) She refused to believe me--vehemently arguing with me and telling me that the system will NOT ALLOW them to bill a person once they have paid I told her that I know that is not the case, because this already happened to me last fallShe continued to tell me that the system will not allow thatAfter repeating the story that it DID happen multiple times to her, she finally agreed to check the credit card receipts Shocking--she found that we did pay twice for the same service just like I said She did not have the decency to apologize and when I said how terribly she treated me--attacking me and essentially calling me a liar, she had the nerve to defend herself instead of just saying sorry Thus, my terrible review is due to complete and total lack of customer service (just reasonable decency) by office personnel

Three different employees tried to help Mr. [redacted] with his concerns, including two secretaries and the supervisor. Mr. [redacted] would not hear any of us. This matter stems from a termite treatment we performed for a real estate company prior to him taking possession of this property. A initial...

treatment was completed and came with a optional warranty. These warranties are almost never signed nor is the property owner obligated to keep, it is only a option to the purchaser and transferable to any new owner if they choose to keep it. Mr. [redacted] argued with each of the employees continually badgering us about our quality of service, when he had never actually had any service provided to him. He continued to threaten that he would file a complaint with the Revdex.com and he was told that was fine, because he could not be reasoned with. Mr. [redacted] did not understand that after the initial year that there was a 85.00 charge to keep the warranty He stated that he had a three year warranty and was not responsible for any fees during that period. Enviro-Tech tried to explain to Mr. [redacted] that the three years just meant that the 85.00 was guaranteed for that time period. The warranty plainly stated 85.00 per year. Unfortunately there was very little we could do to satisfy Mr. [redacted] and he was told we would just not continue the warranty after the first year and part ways. Mr. [redacted] owes Enviro-Tech nothing and we have fulfilled our obligations to him on the initial year. I have attached a copy of the optional extended warranty which clearly states the terms. Enviro-Tech has a triple A rating and we try to satisfy every customer. We run a professional service company and try to be cordial and assist all out customers the best we can. We are not obligated to accept the behavior the Mr. [redacted] exhibited with our staff. At this point it is better that we discontinue any future contact with Mr. [redacted].
