I am rejecting this response because: RESPONSE November 2016 The driveway was never completed as requestedSeveral times I told *** that I was concerned about the streaking of the paint and the color of the lines but he assured me that it would look great when finishedAt the completion of the lines I informed him that you could not see the linesHe allowed himself to do unsatisfactory work not meAs I stated before in my initial request, July 2016, *** was instructed to paint the driveway just like the original time that he painted my driveway about or more years ago(I’ve had to replace the driveway due to the concrete cracking since then.) At that time his work was excellent. I had no complaintsIn fact I recommended his work to several peopleI had no reason to believe that his standards of work had changed. ***s’ statement that my dissatisfaction was "all of a sudden" is totally false. As stated above I spoke to him several times about the color of the lines being too light and not the same as before and the streaking of the paint on the drivewayAnyone who looks at the work now, can see the streaking of paint (I believe due to insufficient amount of paint being used throughout the project) and the line color which can only be seen if you are standing directly on top of the drivewayHe was the person who told me that this was a better and more visible color and once the paint dried it would look better and show up betterThat was not the case at allHe is supposed to be the expert not meI can only look at the paint job and tell him that I am unhappy and why, which is exactly what I did on several occasionsTo this day I don’t like the streaking of the paint! I agreed to allow him extra time to come back and the stripes the color I asked for in the beginningI did not know that it would take plus days and still waiting. In regards to ***s’ comments about “freight charges from Florida” I have no clue as to what he is talking aboutI don’t know where he gets his paint from and it did not appear that he opened any new cans of paint to do my drivewayIt appeared that he was using paint that he already had open and on-hand. His comment, “*** agreed to pay half of remaining balance on said Friday so I could help pay down bills for the company and did notShe paid $instead.” First of all, I am not responsible for him paying his company billsSecond, I have already paid $2,with a remaining balance of $1,Our agreement, like with most contracts for work, was to pay half of the total amount upfront and the remaining balance upon completion of the work. I have paid over half and the work is still not completedI went in to his office on Friday the 29th of Oct and gave the folks in his office a check for $500.00, leaving the balance of His comment, “I have been back to house and worked on drive since that payment, yet have not finished due to weather and parenting situations.” Is incorrect in regards weather and returning to house to work. *** told me he would be back and finish the work over the weekendHe failed to show up and did not call! As a matter of fact he has not been here since before I paid the additional $He did send a friend/worker over who was here for a few hours on I believe Monday the 31st. The worker was very nice but only completed a little bit of taping, all of which has peeled off from heat and dryness and is no longer on the driveway. No one showed up to paintWe have had very little rain in the past two months so rain cannot be an excuse for not getting the work doneIt is raining today as well as yesterday and a little on Sunday so I know he could not come on these days but what about all the other days? Part of the problem is that *** rarely comes to work on the driveway and when he does he is only here for a few hours. He never calls to say when or if he is comingHe does not return my phone calls requesting when he is comingCommon courtesy dictates that a business return phone calls to keep clients informed or to say that they cannot be there to workOn the few times that he did say he would be here, he did not show and did to call to say why. He just leaves me guessingI’ve been to his office several times and spoken to the people there but they could not helpThey know of my frustration with the work, lack of communication, and delaysI believe that I have been more then patient. It has been days since this project was started in July 2016. He blames weather supposedly unable to find a few dry days to complete the workThere has been little or no rain for the last months of Sept and OctoberThis is unacceptableNo one should have to wait this long for work to be completed correctly!! I request that he be contacted by your office to come out immediately and complete the work to standard. Of course, if it is raining I know he can’t come but I expect to be called when he cannot be here and when he will return. Letter received and open Monday the 7th. States work needs to be completed by end of today. It is wet and work cannot be performed in such conditions. Driveway painting was COMPLETED as indicated on invoice minus stencil with colors she agreed upon in July! Customer ([redacted]) was displeased with grout...

color. So why not complain upon completion of "SAID Grout COLOR in question" application! She did not!!!      She allowed me to work many additional days applying patterns and additional coats of paint on top of said color. NEVER once complaining or commenting on said color!       Upon finishing pulling up all the taped stencils and paper...cleaned up left job site. Come back to finish stenciled detail item and all of a sudden she doesn't like said grout color...  !                To repainted the entire job " Start OVER" was not feasible. Do to fright cost from Florida as well as 2 times the amount of material usage equaling far more than customer was willing to pay to "REDO" completed said job. Instead WE agreed I would hand paint all 1200+ sqft AGAIN by hand and with a 1/2" brush this time...To achieve straight lines I must first double hand tape adjacent to each line!  Then proceed to lightly paint new color over COMPLETED color she doesn't like...let dry then reapply a second coat...TONS of labor!  [redacted] agreed to pay half of remaining balance on said Friday so I could help pay down bills for the company and did not. She paid $500 instead. I have been back to house and worked on drive since that payment, yet have not finished due to weather and parenting situations. Will be proceeding forward unless you advice otherwise. Please contact me asap. The Sun should be out later this week and it would be nice if we could move forward. Please advise... Have a nice week!
