The roof was mistakenly scheduled for inspected before completion and still had much work to be done
All of the work for Mr*** has been completed to his satisfaction and he has advised us that he was going to formally retract his
initial complaint about this issue

Mr. [redacted] and our company have been in numerous conversations as to what to do about his deck situation.  We would have no idea why he says our business does not answer the telephone. Our company completed a complete roof replacement and was given ongoing compliments about how fast the project went and what a wonderful job was done.Mr. [redacted]'s elderly mother lives at the house and she is the one who signed the contract.  While working on her roofing project it was discussed if we could replace the deck.  We told her that her insurance did not include that on the loss sheet but we would fight for the claim and thought we could replace the main structure and boards for around $2000.  They said that if their insurance would not pay for it then they would pay cash.  Based on good faith, we ordered materials from [redacted] and Alpine Lumber. (See Attached Receipts)Almost halfway in to the project, with permits pulled, we found insurance was not going to cover the work.  We had not requested any money up front for our work!  When the city inspectors came out they discovered that the caissons (special support cement in the ground) were rotten and would all have to dug out and replaced. This is very labor intensive job that our subcontractor was unable to perform, and would as well increase the cost of the job to around $8000.  During this time Mr. [redacted] kept pushing us to complete the job for another $700. We had not taken even $1 for this job and by then he was submitting slanted complaints to the Revdex.com.The contract was written on a contract that uses a BOLD statement on the front of the page that clearly states: "This agreement is Null and Void and does not obligate either party to it should the insurance company refuse coverage under this claim or should the coverage offered be insufficient for contractor to properly do the work". (See Attached Contract)Due to the above facts and the deteriorated relationship with Mr. [redacted] and his willingness to smash our face in the mud with the public and Denver Revdex.com, we decided to pull off the job as provided for in the above referenced insurance language. As an act of good faith and customer goodwill toward his very kind, elderly mother we offer the settle this matter.  We will not submit any charges for the 2 weeks that has already been performed for his mother for free and let her keep the over $600 of wood and material from [redacted].We find this to be a reasonable to the matter, and also feel that we have provided excellent service, despite the difficulty and low cost/profit of the project. Please feel free to contact our office with any further questions regarding this matter. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Steve S[redacted] the owner has been involved in this whole process since December. Prior to Speaking to Steve in late December, I spoke to his son Brandon S[redacted]. Originally we signed a contract in November to replace the roof, deck and paint the house. The beginning of January all work had been done but the deck, and I was told by Steve S[redacted] in both email and via phone that It was going to happen within the next few days. By the end of January when no work had been completed I inquired by email and phone again and was told by Steve S[redacted] the owner of the company that he was going to look into what was going on. By the end of February as my patience is wearing thin I was told by Steve S[redacted] that the issue was that the insurance company rejected the deck claim and that we would need a separate contract for the deck that outlines the cash payment we would pay for the deck since it was not going to be covered by the insurance company. When nothing happened in the next few weeks I once again inquired with Steve S[redacted] and he came over to the house and promised the deck would be done within two weeks otherwise $200 PER DAY would be paid by Environmental Pro Construction as a penalty (See attached contract and Letter from Steve S[redacted] almost a month after the contract). There was no dispute about the insurance company as this was known from January 1st. The reason I have been pressing on this is because it is very difficult to get home insurance in Colorado when a deck is missing. Oh and I completely forgot, after removing the deck (when the contract was signed) Steve S[redacted] of Environmental Pro Construction called me on recorded line to let me know the bid needed to be increased by $799 because the footers that the City of Louisville called for were larger then what they anticipated. My issue is we have been waiting for this to be taken care of since November when we had an original contract for the Roof Deck and Paint the house, then in March Steve the owner stated due to the fact that insurance was not going to cover it we needed to have a separate contract for the deck. Then they demoed the deck pulled permits then asked for more money, which I was happy to pay to get the work completed but here it is 2 months later and no work has been done but demoing the deck and putting in footers for a new deck. This goes beyond the length of time on the contract and it goes beyond the length of time in the letter Steve S[redacted] the owner wrote two months ago. There was never a cancellation of any type but the issue is somehow Environmental Pro Construction dropped the ball and now it seems they are trying to get out of making it right.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The facts stated in the response are completely incorrect. I was contacted by Steve and asked to pay an extra $789 for the new work. I was notified in May by Steve that his employee/contractor's father passed away and he hasn't been coming into the office since that happened. He said due to the fact that his employee was no longer employed with the company he no longer had anyone to build the deck and he was no longer going to abide by the signed contract. Even though his company took down the legal deck in need of repair he opted to leave the house without a deck and in a illegal status (per building code).  We have opted to resolve this matter in court. Environmental Pro Construction is a fraud and I have made sure my story comes up in every review to ensure others are warned. If there are any questions I have documented email conversations that validate every bit of my statement.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
