We got a request to do an estimate for the pruning of a [redacted] in the backyard in June of 2015 by a [redacted].  We sent [redacted] out on June 15, 2015 to provide the estimate to [redacted] for a cost of $215 and let him know that it would be considered Winter Work due to...

the type of tree.  If we were to prune the tree during the summer it would cause significant damage to the health of the tree. We first sent a crew out on January 1, 2016.  When the crew arrived there were dogs in the yard so we had to reschedule.  We rescheduled for January 11, 2016, and sent a crew to complete the pruning of the [redacted] tree in the backyard. When they completed the work they left the invoice on the door of the client’s residence.   The client states that she never authorized the work but it was [redacted] who authorized and signed the contract on 7/27/2015.                  Once we did not receive payment after 30 days we started making collection calls and sending Invoices to the client.   The original bill was $215.00 but since it was not paid until March 1, 2017 there was $107.84 in interest and late fees for a total of $322.84.  We believe that [redacted] and [redacted] lived at the residence together and something happened between the two of them and [redacted] moved out. The bill was paid by [redacted] and there was no lien placed on the client’s residence.

the tree would become dangerous and unsafe. The removal of large healthy leads are typically not included in a full prune. The crew contacted our owner, [redacted] to come and evaluate the tree and the situation. [redacted] arrived shortly after and spoke to [redacted]. The two agreed to not fully prune the tree but to instead remove some of the leads [redacted] was concerned about for the same cost as the original estimate. [redacted] was satisfied by the new arrangement. [redacted] left the property shortly after. Once he left [redacted] requested that the crew remove even more leads and large branches that were not included in the new arrangement. The crew was forced to call the owner back out again.  When the owner came out to speak with [redacted] he was asked to remove half of the neighbors tree.  [redacted] told the client he could not cut a tree that is not on the client’s property, it would also severely damage the health of the tree and could cause major liability issues.  In all we went to the property on three separate occasions to satisfy the client.  On the third visit after telling the client we could not cut his neighbors tree without consent he wrote a check for the work performed.  As far as the complaint about the 20% coupon he wanted to reapply the same coupon to his neighbor’s tree as [redacted] told him we cannot do it without consent from the neighbor.  If we got consent the cost would be $ 1000 and we would do it for 750 with the 20% discount and the 5% senior discount, and he was not satisfied with the quote.   We feel we have gone way up and above for the client to satisfy his requests.

[redacted] signed a contract with our company to have treatments for [redacted] done on her property. We reached out to her to complete the treatment as agreed to on her contract. We did the work and then she refused to have any communication with us. This is the first we are hearing of any issues regarding...

the treatment of her trees. We left a message on 5/27/16, another message on 7/7/16, mailed a letter to her on 8/4/16, attempted to contact her but her voicemail was full on 11/29/16, sent another letter 11/29/16, another letter and voicemail on 1/17/17 and yet another letter on 2/1/17. We would love to resolve this open balance, she currently owes $615.00. It is unfortunate that she has been dodging us ever since we did the treatment and hasn't had any communication  with us to resolve this.
