To whom it may concern,Regarding the complaint you received about Environments Service Group We were hired by the homeowner to install a patio and fence While installing the fence posts, we noticed the wiring and made sure that we did not expose the wiring The garage was wired incorrectly with standard house wiring run below ground When we left the job, the wiring was still working as we were using the garage to plug our tools in for the fence installation and the posts holes were already dug and filled in The customer contacted us nearly a year later to state that the electric was not working and that it was our fault It was relayed to them that the electric was working when we left the job and the we took care to not damage the line while we were working there The customer continued to insist that we were at fault but we disagree

This is [redacted], and I am requesting that Complaint # [redacted] be reopened so that I can respond to the reply from Environments Service Group, per [redacted] at the Cincinnati Revdex.com. I did not receive an notification of the reply because it went to my spam folder, so I was not able to reply. Below is my response.Environments Service Group performed the work after a two week delay in October of 2013 when my disabled fiance was pregnant, and very sick. She had an extremely rough pregnancy and she was the one to correspond with them.If they used any power tools they were connected to the outlet on the side of our porch, with extension cords and or used battery operated power tools.  Within 1 month of the fence installation, 2 different panels of the fence had been blown down by the wind. We noticed that they had used the much shorter screws that came with the gate kit, instead of the longer screws, and there were not enough screws at each connection point to support the weight of the fence panels to stay connected to the posts. We put these back up ourselves. There is still one corner of another panel that is not attached. We also had to turn both gates around to open to the inside because when the ground froze that winter the level of the driveway had gone up by a couple of inches, and did not recede in the spring.  So the two gates would get stuck on the blacktop, opening only partially. My fiance is the only one that goes to the garage.  She was sick and fainting throughout her pregnancy. After she had an emergency c-section at 30 weeks, in March of 2014, our baby was in the NICU at Good Sam for 7 weeks. All of our free time was consumed spending time with our 10 week early preemie. During this time she also had post-partum pre-eclamsia which warranted 2 stays in the hospital. By May she had had an aborted cardiac arrest (she had a 50/50 chance of living), and a congenital heart problem was discovered. At that point, at the age of 39, she had surgery to implant a defibrillator/pacemaker.The baby also has inherited this heart problem, as well as developmental delays needing intensive therapies. So no one had been out to the garage until the summer of 2014. This was when she was feeling up to doing some yard work. This was the point of realization of the lack of power to the garage from the basement. As soon as we realized the problem, she left several VMs for [redacted], in the summer of 2014, which were ignored. She tried to contact him again on March 6th of 2015 (see attached recorded .mp3 from 3-6-15), and was successful by way of blocking her number from being shown on his caller ID.  He said they would be able to take care of it and made an appointment. He said he'd be out on the 9th to check out the problem, but called on the 9th to change the appointment. (See attached recorded .mp3 from 3-9-15.). The appointment was changed to Friday, March 13th at 4:00 pm. He called again on March 13th to reschedule for Sunday, March 15th at 4:30pm because of inclement weather. (See attached recorded .mp3 from 3-13-15.)On the 15th he did show up to investigate the problem, and by digging a little by the foundation he identified the break in the line caused by the 1st post at the back corner of the house, next to the driveway. The power line was severed underground by the post just a couple of inches away from where it came through the basement wall.He said that a trench would more than likely have to be dug from the house back to the garage to replace the line, tunneling under 2 concrete walkways. He said he needed to check with somebody about the trench digger, and some of the panels from the fence would have to be temporally taken down, and he would call her back soon to let her know when they could come out.He never called back, so my fiance called him back a month or so later, and left a message asking how soon the work could be done. He called back saying that they had been really busy and would be out as soon as they got a break. Then another month or two later she called him back to see what the delay was. He claimed he had been sick for several weeks, and it was his first day back on the job, and he would get back to her because they were behind on a lot of jobs.So we waited patiently, yet again, and he never called back again. She finally sent him a formal email giving him a few days to call us back by a Friday deadline or we would be filing with the Revdex.com, and consulting with a lawyer. He never responded. So finally we submitted the complaint to the Revdex.com, and he has responded by lying, claiming that there was never a problem when they left, and that they never agreed to fix the problem. This is untruthful on his part. Also, we had no knowledge as to what kind of wiring was used to connect the power to the garage. He made no mention of it. The previous owner had done it, or it was done at the time of construction of the house in 1920.It is not our problem what kind of line was connected to the garage for power in the ancient past, the issue is that he or his crew broke the line. They have insurance to pay for accidents like this, and now he is refusing to honor his promises, and lying that they refused to fix it in the first place. Total fabrications. At this point, we'd like to have someone else come out to do an estimate, and complete the work.  Environments Service Group should be liable to pay the bill. We do not trust this business any more to be ethical and do the repair properly or at all. We are afraid of retaliation. Very unprofessional!
