Complaint: ***I HAVE PROOF OF PAYMENT IN FULL AND THEY ARE STILL SAYING THEY DIDN'T GET PAID? Please update your billing system and contact *** as they have the full payment in their possession, that is between you and ***
I am rejecting this response because: The payment was made in full, *** seems to be making up information that is not trueI never threatened to "sue anyone" I begged for information on payment, when was it due, they refused. *** was reported to the Consumer Finance Protection for failure to provide license number and address verification as well as failure to provide written documentation of our open dispute. We were also charged for hours to perform the caulking around the basement that we performed in full even after being told we could take that charge off our invoice. No other invoice was ever sent, if you have evidence that you sent an invoice, please send thatThey NEVER invoiced me, NEVER emailed me, NEVER called.Their final bill was higher than the original estimateAdditional fees were added without ever contacting me. *** reported the invoice, with only one letter, opened a dispute so I could look for payment, and promptly reported it to my credit report. Waiting several years to claim something was unpaid is terrible business practice. They NEVER invoiced me, NEVER emailed me, NEVER called, just turned to collections after overcharging for service that we performed.Consumer complaint stands, poor methods of communication, estimates and questionable service, turned over invoice that they failed to mail to collections, and refused to take payment after reporting it.

We were contacted by *** *** regarding the ice build up on the radon systemWe asked him to send pictures of the iceWe verified from the pictures that the ice build up was normalThe radon system vents soil gas through a vent pipe to above the roof levelThe soil gas has high levels of
moistureWe install a condensate drain at the bottom of the vent pipe to reduce the amount of water going back through the fan into the suction pointWe contacted *** *** promptly and explained to him that when the weather gets very cold, the condensation that builds up from air moving through the cold pipes can freezeThe condensation is unavoidable and normally drains out of the bottom of the system as it was designedOnce the weather warms the ice will melt and the system will continue to work properly. We have not seen any problems created by the ice build up in the approximately 15,systems that we have used this or similar method to remove the condensationThe radon system fan manufacturer recommends using this type of drainThe other way to deal with this moisture is called a condensate bypass which may reduce the amount of icing on the outside of the systemHowever it will increase the amount of water draining back into the suction point (inside the house)We have found that the suction points would sometimes fill back in with soil from the increased amount of water using this methodSince we offer a year guarantee on the radon level, we have found through thousands of installations that the icing does not cause a problem, but the condensate bypass can potentially cause problems and affect the radon levelAs a result, we design our radon systems to drain outside the way *** ***s' system doesWe designed the system this way to reduce the amount of callbacks, and increase the radon reducing capacity of the system over a longer period of time.Another possible option available to homeowners would be to install electric heat tape on the outside of the radon systemWe do not have any feedback on how well this would work*** *** did not contact us again after we responded explaining the weather related problems he was experiencing were normal It is not reasonable to expect a refund of the cost of the system based on a weather related issue which is part of the intended operation of the system

The home inspection complaint has been resolved. Further information is available upon request. The customer only contacted our company once by email regarding the radon system and only about the ice build up before filing this complaint. We have offered to address your concerns regarding the cosmetic issues of a loose screw and a dented pipe free of charge. If you want to have the system worked on by one of our competitors, it is not reasonable to expect us to pay for it and it will void the guarantee/warranty on our system. The radon system is functioning as it was intended to and the radon level has been reduced to below 4.0 pCi/l.

Enviroquest installed a radon mitigation system at the customer's listed address on this complaint on 12/27/2012.  [redacted] signed our contract the day the work was completed.  We did not receive payment at that time because the total was based on time and materials which had to be...

calculated at the office.  The total of the service was $539.14 and the invoice was mailed to the address on this complaint.  This amount was within the estimate that was given of $450-$650.  The radon level was reduced to acceptable levels in February 2013. The client completed the radon test and  was provided a copy of this result.  The facts of our work completed at the customer's property and attempts to collect this debt, does not match what the customer claims. We invoiced  [redacted] and [redacted] after the work was done but never received payment.  We  emailed and mailed out invoices 1/22/2013, 4/4/2013 and  on 5/2/2013 we sent a 10 day demand letter requesting payment be made or it would be turned over to collections and additional collection fees and interest would be added. J.R. from our office made multiple attempts to collect this debt including phone calls, before turning it over to our collection company [redacted] ([redacted]).  We have documented all correspondence by telephone, e mail and mail  Each time the customer was contacted, she appeared to be confused and thought she had paid it  or said that she would mail a check that day.  However she never paid it and never produced any evidence that it had been paid.   All correspondence matches the address, email and phone numbers on this complaint.  After multiple attempts to collect the debt it was turned over to collection.  [redacted] contacted our company after it was turned over to collections asking for a total without the collection fees and interest.   We told her that she had to contact [redacted] to work out any payment arrangements. It is my understanding that was the last contact that was made regarding the unpaid service.  That was until she contacted our office 7/15/2015 asking for a total owed.  We contacted [redacted] and they indicated that the account was still in collection and no payments had been made.  They also informed us that [redacted] had threatened to sue them and we were instructed not to communicate directly with her. [redacted]'s claims that we never contacted her after the original invoice was mailed, but this is not true.  It is not our policy to simply turn things over to our collection company without notifying the customer and giving them time to respond.  She is attempting to avoid paying for a service that we provided.  Yes additional fees and interest are now owed because we have been attempting to collect this for a couple of years now.   If this service had been paid as she claims, she would have produced evidence to us and our collection company by now and the matter would be resolved.  We request that this complaint be closed as we have already attempted to work this out with the customer. We can scan and e mail supporting documents at your request. Regards,Kirsten S[redacted]Enviroquest, Inc.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The home inspection was resolved via a Line in you contract stating your not liable for the damage created by you. And the refund you offered was less than half the total damages, and require a nondisclosure agreement be signed. Documents available for review.again, given your lack of workmanship, honesty, and willingness to stand behind you guaranteed satisfaction, my request for refund stands.Regards,
[redacted]
