We have told Mr [redacted] that we will replace the cracked section of the sidewalkI have met with him twice over this and he agreed to the replacement, I have repaired it once and I have assured Mr [redacted] that we will take care of it.We have not been able to do this as of yet and if he will simply be patient we will get it taken care of exactly like we said we would. We will have the section replaced by the end of December, Thank You, [redacted] Owner

First I want to say that I have never been more upset about a complaint or anything to do with a customer than I am with thisThis customer absolutely knows that what is going on with his concrete has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with EnviroShapes, the concrete itself or anything that
EnviroShapes didHere is a copy of an email that Mr *** sent to us this Summer:*** ***Aug 23tomeHello ***I have done as much research as I can and it seems that it is just an unfortunate situation The concrete should have been sealed after months according to what I read from the concrete network website It is frustrating that I wasn't aware of that In the meantime, I would appreciate the offer to seal it now to prevent as much peripheral spalling.Let me know when you might be able to do this. Thanks,***We have spent an incredible amount of time on this and working with Mr ***We have conversed back and forth on many occasions, we have made special trips down to Mr ***'s home (which is a 50+ mile trip one way for us) and as Mr *** already knows perfectly well, I personally drove down there and did a Field Test on his driveway concrete and the concrete chips tested Positive for chloride ( Mag-chloride) and nitrogenI explained in great detail and at great length to Mr *** that this "spawlling" he has going on in some spots on the driveway was caused from "snow and ice melt" (mag-chloride) and "lawn fertilizer" (nitrogen)His concrete tested positive for both of these chemicals and as you can see from his email above, he is well aware of thisI felt bad for Mr *** and as anyone can see by our record, we do everything we can (within reason) for our customers and it was no different with Mr ***We offered to seal his driveway for him with "*** *** *** ***" which he agreed to and we sealed his entire driveway for him this past Summer FREE OF CHARGEThe *** *** is very expensive and we charge between $and $per sq ft for this service, so we did over $1,worth of concrete sealing for Mr *** FREE OF CHARGEIt is VERY rare that we would do this for anyone for freeMr *** admitted that the cause of his concrete spawlling was the chemicals I listed above and he agreed to let us seal his concrete free of charge to help him outNow, all of a sudden, months later he his back on this same tangent wanting us to replace his concrete for him for free when there is not one single thing that we did wrong and EnviroShapes has absolutely no responsibility for any of this whatsoeverThis is not a warranty item and that is clearly defined both ON OUR CONTRACTS and IN OUR WARRANTY which I have attached a copy and Mr *** also has a copy of this warrantyEnviroShapes has gone out of our way to try and help this customer even though we did not have to and there is nothing more that we can do or will doI am more than happy to provide the field test results to the Revdex.com, all emails back and forth with Mr *** and any and all documents pertaining to this matter.Thank You, *** ***EnviroShapes Concrete

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because I did not agree to replacing concrete in December 2016. After Enviroshapes postponed the warranty replacement two times ( May & September) in 2016, I emailed Enviroshapes requesting that the warranty work be performed no later than October 2016. I received no reply from Enviroshapes which finally led to my conclusion that the company based on actions is more focused on new work. I understand contractors prioritize work but pouring concrete in December is a bad idea all the way around. This sidewalk never see sun, the days are short/cold and concrete even with anti freeze additives often has inconsistent results which is why concrete is poured during warmer months.Regarding Enviroshapes statement that a repair was performed that is incorrect, applying sealant/adhesive in a concrete crack does not fix a concrete crack it just prevents the crack from getting worseThe crack just got bigger over time. I would like a refund so I can find another concrete contractor to fix the sidewalk in May I have no ill will to Enviroshapes, I have just lost trust in what the company has stated and then doneIf it helps I agree not write anything anywhere about this situation, I just wanted the warranty work to be completed in a timely fashion in which is a reasonable requestSince this did not happen I believe my refund request is also reasonable.
Sincerely,

EnviroShapes, llc has not had a single complaint in 10 years and this complaint is totally fraudulent. We have a contract with the [redacted]'s for a very small, custom and dangerous job. This job was NOT bid on square footage, because it is such a small job and on smaller custom jobs we have a...

minimum that we must and do charge. This was all explained to this customer. This was a job that we soent an enourmous amount of time on like most all of these smaller, custom jobs do. We met multiple times at the customers home with the customers and also with their contractor. The contract is for $3,480.00 to pour two very small, elevated concrete decks up in the air. After we had already ordered the special liquid colored concrete that we were supposed to pour on a Monday, this customer informed us over the weekend before that Monday that they did not want us to pour one of these decks which was by far the easier of the two because it was around 40' to 50' closer to where the concrete truck could park and it was only around 8 feet up in the air to where the deck that we did pour was much further from the concrete truck and we had to wheel barrel the concrete over and then bring the concrete up about 18' to 20' in the air by using a rope and a 5 gallon bucket. The lower deck had a railing around it, but the higher one that we poured had no railing, no nothing and it was an extremely dangerous pour. Please see attached photo.I was contacted like I said over the weekend before pouring this job on that Monday and the xustomer informed me that they did not want the lower deck poured and they wanted to know how this would affect the cost. I explained clearly to them that it would not effect the cost by very much if at all, but I would see if I could credit them the actual labor costs for the time to actually pour the lower deck which was $220.00 and I did credit that amount on the final invoice. Bottom line is that the xustomer knew up front amd ahead of time, before we poured their job that this was the case and they let us pour the job without saying anything at all about the cost. The [redacted] are also now trying to blame us for why they decided not to pour the lower deck, they are claiming that they were confused about the existing drain that is there on the existing patio deck. Mrs [redacted] went back and forth and back and forth with me on what she wanted us to do for drainage on these decks and during a meeting with her, myself and her contractor she decided that she wanted the decks to drain into the house gutter at the front edge of the concrete decks and her contactor agreed that this would be best. The upper deck could be poured to where it drains directly into the gutter because this was a brand new deck and her contractor built that deck to drain as such, The lower deck is an existing deck that has always been there and because of the thickness of the concrete that was going to be poured, it could not drain directly into the gutter without drilling two or three drain holes (cups) which is a very simple, quick, easy process and that is exactly what Mrs [redacted] told me and her contractor she wanted. When our foreman was on site he even explained to Mrs [redacted] that we would have to drill the cup holes and we also offered to fo ahead and extend up the pvc pipe drain that was already there which would have been even easier to do, so either way would have been about a 30 minute job and we did not even cost that into the bid because it was such a quick and easy thing to do. Now the [redacted]'s are claiming that they were confudsed about how they wanted the drain and that this is why they decided to not pour the lower deck. I explained to Mr [redacted] that it did not matter to us one way or the other and again, this would not change the cost of the job no matter which one of these two drain options they decided on. Mr [redacted] that weekend before we poured this job told me that they simply decided they did not want the lower deck poured/overlaid with concrete and that they were just going to caot it. I had talked with them about the coating option during our forst meeting and I gave them some literature on a concrete coating product and I also bid to coat an existing patio they have in the backyard, so they were very familiar with the coating option and they knew exactly waht they wanted in the end and again, I told Mr [redacted] that whether we poured one or both and especially with not pouring the easiest deck of the two, that this would change the cost minimally. Again, he went ahead and had us pour the upper deck that Monday knowing full well ahead of time that the cost was not going to change much if at all and they went ahead and let us pour the job and then cut the bill in half on their own without any authorization from us. After we finished the job and sent them the final invoice they took an un-authorized credit of an additional $1343.42. The customer took it upon themselves to cut the cost of the job in half because we did not pour one of the two small decks, the lower and easier one of the two. They do not understand or do not want to understand that this job was not costed out that way and it cannot be calcualted that way. I explained to the [redacted]'s whether we were going to pour 90 sq ft or 40 sq ft would not have affected our original bid very much if at all, because we have minimums, the concrete company (Bestway Concrete) has minimums and that we have to charge a minimum amount to make a profit. I can tell you that we would not have taken this job in a million years for what they have paid us and there is no possible way that EnviroShapes or any other concrete contractor is going to go over there and pour that 2nd deck up in the air with colored and stamped concrete for $1343.42. No way, no how and quite frankly this is rediculous. Wheteher we poured one or both of these little decks, we still had to have the minimum concrete delivered which is one (1) yard and since it was colored concrete there are other minimum charges such as a truck wash out fee and delivery fees that Bestwy Concrete charges. Bottom line is that what these customers have paid us we have lost money on this job, a job that was incredibly difficult and incredibly dangerous and a job that very few concrete contractors (if any) would have even taken on. I have all of the documents showing what we paid in labor, concrete charges, sealer, fuel and all the time that was spent going back and forth over there to the [redacted] for this meeting and that meeting and also the time for a total of 47 emails. This is exactly why most concrete contractors do not take on small obs, becaue you end up sopending more time and money on a little custom job like this one than we would replacing and pouring a 500 sq ft concrete driveway and that's a fact. Right now as it stands we are in the hole on this job several hundred dollars let alone the profit that we were supposed to make and again, I have the documents to prove this. We are in the middle of filing a law suit against the [redacted] and going through the collection process.

This person signed a legally binding contract with our company for concrete work. The deposits are "non-refundable". We scheduled and attempted to start this job on three (3) separate occasions and the first two times we were scheduled to start, this customer at the last minute cancelled because...

they claimed their landscaping was still not finished and they were not ready for us to start. The second time we were scheduled to start on a Tuesday and the customer didn't even notify us that they were not ready for us to start until literally on the Tuesday we were starting. Luckily we were able to get one of our other customers on the schedule to let us start their job with zero notice. At this point we notified the complainant that we would start their job the following week after finishing the replacement job we were starting and then on the weekend before we were starting (again), we were notified that they just wanted to cancel the contract all together. This customers deposit didn't even cover half the lost wages we had to pay, the lost revenues when we could've been doing another job for someone else or the amount of time and money we lost dealing with this customer. Even though the deposit is non-refundable we have offered to refund the deposit if this customer withdraws this Revdex.com complaint. EnviroShapes did absolutely nothing wrong here. We bid a job, the bid was accepted, we drew up and signed a contract with the customer and we scheduled to do the work on three separate occasions.[redacted]EnviroShapes Concrete

and steps. The concrete truck could not get within 100 feet of this job so we had to pay over $900.00 for a concrete pump which we did to try and save the yard as much as possible. We also purchased a lot of ply wood and laid that down in the yard and we stayed on the plywood. There is nothong more than very shallow depressions in the yard and I already told this customer in writing that we will lay down some high quality to soil and grass seed for him. The other damage he is talking about we did not do, the concrete truck (which he originally claimed did the damage) was not even with 50 feet of any of it. Were it not for all the rain and snow during the month of May we would've already had this taken care of and we will most certainly take care of the lawn depressions this current month of June.[redacted]EnviroShapes Concrete

Revdex.com:
I have attached documents that dispute Enviroshapes version of events. However, I also attached a communication by Enviroshapes wherein he is threatening to sue ME if I do not withdraw this complaint and accept his offer to refund my money. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,

We have a warranty. This is a warranty item and for the customer to want a refund is ridiculous. We don't do refunds. In our contract it clearly states what we can and will do. This is a very, very minor issue and we're not going to refund money for the entire sidewalk when only one very small section has a crack. We poured a driveway and a sidewalk and this is the only crack. We are willing to replace the small section with the crack. I have emails proving that this customer agreed to this. EnviroShapes is the top rated Concrete Contractor in the Denver Metro Area, so saying he wants someone else to do a simple little warranty repair is ridiculous and it is our opinion that he just wants the money. We pour concrete year round here along the Front Range and there is no basis for his claim about pouring concrete in the winter. If the customer would rather have us wait until Spring to do this that's his choice, but we have the legal right per a legal contract to do any warranty work. Keep in mind that this is one very small crack. Again, we're not going to refund for an entire perfectly good sidewalk for one little crack that 99% of customers would be perfectly fine with simply filling the crack. Per our written warranty this isn't even an item that qualifies for replacement and we're doing the replacement as a favor. We can either replace the one small section for this customer or nothing. That's his choice.Signed, [redacted] EnviroShapes Concrete
