Envirotech Systems U S A Reviews (2)

Review: Hired what is now called EnviroTech USA, owned by [redacted], with contact information at same number ###-###-#### to provide renovation service to my home. EnviroTech USA standards of work are very poor and owner, Mr. [redacted], was extremely disrespectful to me as his client during the process of the renovation - lacking quality communication, follow-ups on progress and project management skills in construction trade. The renovation was to be completed in six months and at the 6 month mark, I had poorly finished walls - some left unprimed/sealed with holes and cracking at moldings; unfinished flooring, and; no bathroom or kitchen yet installed; no lighting, finished and moldings left incomplete.EnviroTech also used their certifications to claim work that was done with no 3rd party proof of work - such as basement mold removal and treatment, asbestos and termite removal. This cost me additional money that was no pre-approved on scope and again no real proof of need/completion. EnviroTech is also in breech of contract as we specified the replacement of 2 openings in house (front and side door) THe front door was never replaced and side door was poorly installed with no threshold and a faulty handle.Desired Settlement: EnviroTech was fired on June 10, 2013 through the renovation 203(K) process through my Wells-Fargo renovation loan. In return EnviroTech submitted a Mechanics Lien in September 2013 on my property, requesting funds for work they did not complete. Unfortunately this matter will need to be settled in a court of law. I do ask that Revdex.com keep this complaint on file and accessible to other potential clients that may be seeking EnviroTech's services in the future.

Response:

[redacted] signed a contract with Enviro Tech USA for renovations to her home using the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Program 203K. $71,346.20 was the amount of this contract to be paid upon the completion of very specific “Specification of Repair document” Every item completed must be inspected by a HUD Certified US government Inspector who specializes in renovation work for MUD and Wells Fargo. On the 3rd phase of work completed, a draw request was made approx, $18,000 leaving approx. $3,500 for completion. The Renovation Consultant and inspector certified by HUD and Wells Fargo inspected this work. Each item was scrutinized by both inspector and [redacted] and signed off as satisfied. Ms [redacted] put a stop payment on this draw request and deducted approx. $10,500. At this time the amounts due are the approx. $10,500 plus the 10% hold back of the entire contract total plus 10% of contingency finds. Additional cost will be added as Enviro Tech USA pursues moneys owed for loans to pay vendors and attorney fees. [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

A 3rd party inspection that was ordered by Wells-Fargo to determine and verify the amount of work completed or not completed based on the SOR submitted for my loan. It was determined by this 3rd party verifier that only 76% of job on scope was completed. [redacted] DBA EnviroTech USA was terminated before work was completed and on his 3rd draw request it was stated by the Wells-Fargo Reno representative, [redacted], that he was asking for payment on work that was NOT completed and still had 4th and 5th quarter installments of work to be completed.
