I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***Please add your rejection comments below.
June 24, 2015To: The Revdex.comFrom: *** and *** ***, *** ***, RIRe: Response to the position stated by *** ***, Envirotek This letter responds to comments by Mr*** of Envirotek,re: the recent project involving repairs of water damage at the *** home This correspondence is, in part, to correct several outright inaccuracies in Mr***’s response to our complaint.Again, at the time of the service, we recognized *** and his employees for sound work in repairing structural damage to walls, doors and a closet caused by roof ice complicationsThis damage was financially covered mainly by our insurance company but also by us with personal fundsAt no time was a contract signed by us, specifying a specific amount of payment to Envirotek.Upon completion of their structural work, full payment was given to Envirotek At the startof the repair work, *** had stated that he would accept, as full payment, all funds specifically designated by our insurance company (for water mitigation services) that were paid to our claim*** requested that we sign the entire insurance check over to his company for payment, but our insurance agent advised us not to do soInstead, we wereadvised to make the payments as they had been allocated, and this is the coursethat was followed All money received as settlement from the insurance company plus more from personal funds was spent to repair our homeDocuments of the costs, and payments to Envirotek and other contractors, are available. For the water mitigation and damage repaired by ***’s company, the amount allocated by the insurance company was paid to Envirotek In addition, although not required to do so, we made other payments to Envirotek and the finish contractor, of $and $300, from personal funds, to express our appreciation for the services performed.*** accepted our payments, and the carefully documented breakdown of the insurance award for the damageSpecifically, we requested that he confirm the accuracy of the funds authorized by the insurance, category by categoryHe was given the opportunity to challenge the documentation, but he did not dispute the insurance settlement terms, and how the figures exactly broke down. For the record, the deductible of $was definitely paid. Moreover, the reason for our rigorous accounting of expenses is that, after all payments were made, there were notsufficient funds to cover fully the expensive costs of the repairs and painting For Mr*** to suggest that the deductible was not paid, based on his lack of information and knowledge, is both unprofessional and unwarranted On another matter, an Envirotek worker damaged tiles in our sunroom ceiling, while working in that area. When the puncture damage occurred, *** agreed to cover thecost of repairing the ceilingDespite ten phone calls to Envirotek, there was no response by the company to follow up on this promiseIf *** had acted professionally and responded to even the first phone call, much of this could have been worked out early on and been avoided*** has since apologized for his lack of response, and we accept his apology for ignoring numerous phone calls. In the response by Mr*** to the Revdex.com, relevant to our complaint, he made an abusive remark against us, without just causeIt is unfortunate that his business practice has fallen to this shameful levelWe have been conscientious in providing accounting figures, responsibly laying out the project payments in specific categories; and have been patient in the long wait to get a response from him about the sunroom tile repairAt this point, we ask him to retract his harmful, unjustified statement about ‘fraud’There is no place for unwarranted defamation, perpetrated by business on clients. To close this case, by showing good faith we will now absorb the cost of repairing the punctured sunroom tiles, accidentally damaged by EnvirotekWe do ask, though, that Mr*** carefully consider the importance of responding to his client’s requestsThe tile damage was done early in the repair process With better communication by Envirotek, this could have easily been resolved by a ‘compromise solution,’ with cost splitting for materials and labor, shared by the business and customer.Let us take this opportunity to thank the RevDex.com for valuable service in promoting better understanding between ‘sellers and buyers.’ All the letters/appeals and documentation, involving countless hours, will be worthwhile if they serve eventually to strengthen the manner by which various businesses provide a healthy climate for clients. ***,Thank you for your review I really don't know where to begin with this because there are really so many statements here This was an insurance claim or at least it was supposed to be We came in and did the work that was exactly specified in our service agreement
You and your wife were very happy with our work at the time In fact I have a copy of the post job certificate of satisfaction you signed saying that we completed the job to your expectations? I can post a copy of it if you would like? As for the "post job report" that is something we never do In fact I'm not even sure where you might have received that info that we would provide such a document I do remember you asking me to put something in writing stating that the water damage came from an ice dam I believe this was supposed to be for your insurance claim? While I do apologize for some of the delays getting back to you after the job was complete I am extremely busy on a daily basis, but I told you then that I could not provide such a statement in writing The water damage in your case all seemed to have come from around the shower or tub and there was absolutely no evidence at all of any roof damage or ice dam issue There just wasn't any water staining or damage coming from above I'm sorry if this is not the answer you desire but you have to understand that anything I put in writing I am liable for and there is no way I could say anything about the roof given the fact that I am not a roofer or structural engineer If you were displeased with our mold work then I wish I had know that at the time we were there I could have addressed any issue then Again I will point to the certificate of satisfaction with your signature on it Thank you again for the review and if you still need photos of the work I can email some more to you Also you can call us any time with any additional concerns Thanks

***,I'm sorry you feel this way I also forgot to mention in the previous response that we actually didn't add any additional cost to your insurance claim We did complete what we said we would and I do remember briefly talking to you about the possibility of additional work that was not written in the original scope but none of that came to fruition My crew did complete a nice job for you because I looked at it when they were complete It was only after it was complete that you requested me put something in writing regarding an ice dam or roof damage that caused your water damage (around the shower that is located in the center of the condo) that you got irritated Again I acknowledged it took me a few days to get back to you about it but that's all I can apologize for I am not in business to argue with customers and in fact we do always try to go above and beyond for everyone No one is perfect and I appreciate your feedback, but as far as the work is concerned it was complete to satisfaction and again if you need any assistance or recommendations regarding the roof issue I am more than willing to help however I can

I definitely do not and did not want this to escalate any further.  I agree that it already has gotten out of hand and the entire situation is a simple fix.  The whole thing is absolutely unfortunate as I did enjoy helping [redacted] and [redacted], we just had a bit of a miscommunication with regard to the payments and that could have been avoided.  Overall we are just talking about 2 drop ceiling tiles.  I may have some left over at my office that I could give [redacted] and [redacted] but I can't guarantee they will match.  If they are painted white like the others then that will probably look good.

Envirotek Restoration Inc. did complete a full water damage restoration for the [redacted].  We also completed a few extra tasks that were not charged for in the mean time.  The holes are actually more like scratches in ordinary drop ceiling tiles that were painted white in an...

enclosed porch/ 3 season room.   The original signed agreement came to $2532.54 to complete ALL mitigation work.  This was after the [redacted] took the Travelers quote and broke it down even further to what they believed we should be getting paid for the job.  The insurance company had sent funds more than sufficient to cover all the mitigation work and allowed for over $3000.00 for the repair work.  This was all approved by their insurance company.  The [redacted] took the approved Travelers estimate and decided to break it down even further on their own, and they told me I should only be getting paid $2040.92.  Unfortunately, we had already completed the work at this point so I accepted this agreement however they only actually paid is $1650.00 leaving 390.92 short.  This was the same issue the finish contractor faced after he invoiced them $2,100 for work completed (again over $3000.00 was sent for repairs and was approved by the insurance company) then took that amount from their insurance company and only paid him $1,335.00.  Not only is this on the line of insurance fraud, it is unethical to agree to a payment and then go back on your word (and signed contract).  I also need to point out that none of the $1000.00 deductible was paid as well. I would be more than happy to come out and replace the $7 ceiling tiles for the [redacted] when their contract is paid in full.  We have a very full work schedule on a day to day basis and our reputation is unmatched in the industry.  I have complete faith in my crews and am 100% confident in saying the work completed at the [redacted] was done well.  I do apologize for not responding to your requests.  I was under the assumption the funds you kept from the insurance company would more than cover the $14 cost of replacing the two drop ceiling tiles.  Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and despite this nonsense I did enjoy working with you and was happy we could help in your time of need.            [redacted], PresidentEnvirotek Restoration Inc.###-###-####  http://envirotekri.com
