First and Foremost, let me say how sorry we are that this situation has occurred.We as a company take great honor in our year history of caring for our customersWith this being said, in real estate transactions, there are often many people involved in the transaction and communication can get
misplacedWhen we, the owners saw this Revdex.com concern, we immediately looked into it.The original bait stations were put in in by Lane & SonThe renewal continued through Epcon Lane merged with Lane & son in The new real estate inspection was done in The original inspection did not show up in our database as it exceeds our documentation requirements of yearsWe do have newer software, so historically moving forward from inspections remain in our database even though this is not required by law)We did the inspection using a lockbox and the home was vacantIf the seller would have been there, she said she would have told us that we had treated it before but we didn't get to see her.The inspection was ordered by a real estate agent who did not communicate that it had been APreviously treated & Bby Lane & Son who merged with Epcon in (year after the last service was done to the *** address)The inspector did not see the remaining bait stations but did see evidence of the previous termite activity and felt that it was possible that some of the activity could have been newer.So he recommended treatment and bid the cost of an installation. So here is the disconnect of the communication:The realtor told him then told him that Lane & Son had done the treatment in 2003, so the inspector reduced the priceWhat the inspector didn't do is come to us in management and say, this is a real estate transactionThe homeowners have already paid once for an installation do we have a program that can help them out?The Realtor also told the inspector that he was going to call the Epcon Lane owner and discuss options but the realtor never called the owner either.Had the owner, Patrick, who was the WDI inspector for 20+ years been notified by the realtor, our inspector or the seller, then he would have been part of the communication loop.And the answer is Yes, we have an arrangement with the manufacturer that allows us to reinstate the program and we could have done it for less than $This is our fault for not clearly communicating this option to our inspector when this type of situation arises, which is rare that it does.To resolve this, we have reached out to the homeowner, expressed our sincerest apologiesExplained that our integrity means more than anything to usThis company was founded on my grandfather's reputation and we work hard to maintain respect and trust from our customers.We have offered and they have accepted complimentary protective services for their new home for the next two yearsThe value of this exceeds what they paid to the other company for the services they had to receive to sell their other homeWe will spend the next years showing them that we care and that we regret this situation occurred. The take away for our company is that we need to continually review our programs with our staff and when in doubt, please come to us so that we can always take care of the customer.We are an A+ Accredited company with the Revdex.com and have maintained this status for decadesI hope that we can resolve this and that are reputation will allow both the Revdex.com and Deborah *** and family to remove this complaint so that we can move forward and build a relationship with them
