Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 6, 2015/09/04) */ This job was a referral, and I had every intention of completing it until the landlord and customer [redacted] (***) were showing signs of disdain and malcontentBefore starting the job, I was given a sketch of the building interior and how they wanted the receptacles I told them repeatedly that the walls, ceiling and panels were not accessible inside because of the pot plants, people, furniture, etc After 2-attempts to resolve this problem, we all decided to route the wiring from the outside to circumvent the obstacles inside The day prior to starting I showed up, explained my plan which involved a manlift in the parking lot that would facilitate my installation along the wall I met the neighboring landlord of the Volvo shop along with the [redacted] ( [redacted] owner) and explained that I need a few cars moved in order to do this electrical installation along the wall We all stood in plain view of the wall, parking lot, and the whole scope of work I told the owner of ***, Volvo owner several times that I was coming out of the [redacted] building electrical room (pointed to the location) and proceed along the building to the front entrance This would be installed up high, thus the manlift After getting the green light to make the installation, ordered the lift and made attempts to get permits within hours I asked [redacted] for "upfront" payment, which my original estimate states that a 50% upfront installment must be made before work begins [redacted] wanted to see a permit and an invoice before he would make paymentI visited the [redacted] permit building daily in order to get through their newly implemented permit system, which is not only a horrible experience of waiting and having to get through the "grow house" process of having everything reviewedI told [redacted] that I would need $upfront for the lift, material and permit, and I can begin the installation in areas not needing the permit (outside) I explained to [redacted] what [redacted] permit wanted and that it would not be easy because of the "grow house" status, and I would do everything I can to get us through He laughed and shook his head I received payment of $(instead of the $2500, upfront)to get started I hoisted my equipment, material and tools up into the air along the building and begin making my installation - (THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO HOLES CUT THROUGH THE BUILDING AT ANY TIME) At this moment, the landlord approached and was upset about my delivery truck running over his lawn, and asked me if I got permission to make this installation I said [redacted] gave me permission and he wanted me to do things differently because the conduit would be noticeable up high After an hour of discussion with [redacted] secretary, and landlord, we started from scratch on the planning because this was the first time the landlord knew of this I explained that accessibility was paramount with this installation, otherwise, it will costs three times the original amount We would have to move pot plants and furniture in order to make the landlord's plan possible and that the ceiling had zero room for installation in some areas After going back and forth all over again and pleas to install on the rooftop, we agreed to stay outside and bring it down instead of the 20' high installation as originally planned I started the installation and finished 100'+ of conduit, rain tight fittings, support straps and a weatherproof junction box at 6:pm In the process the landlord at some point came and talked to me He said that he's had nothing but problems with the tenants (***), and that he wanted to see a permit tomorrow I went down to the [redacted] permit building the next morning and could not figure out their "new" system of pulling a permit They apparently have procedures in place for grow houses and it would take a week to review for a permit Additionally, they have a new system being implemented for getting a permit and it's taking 4+ hours or more to get through the system for a permit I admitted to [redacted] before I started that I've never pulled a permit for a grow house and that I've bid on these types of jobs, but never went through the process with any jurisdiction And as far as I'm concerned I did everything I could to get this installation completed I even asked [redacted] if we could do this in a few weeks or any other time He said that he would but he needed his $back At that point I explained how there were costs associated with this job already and that I made a 100' weatherproof installation yesterday Disrespectful words, threats and gestures ensued from his secretary, co-workers and the owner [redacted] After explaining my position the situation got worse in spite of my attempts to avoid problems As I was driving away the owner, [redacted] mocked me and called me a " [redacted] head"

This job was a referral, and I had every intention of completing it until the landlord and customer *** *** (***) were showing signs of disdain and malcontentBefore starting the job, I was given a sketch of the building interior and
how they wanted the receptacles I told them repeatedly that the walls, ceiling and panels were not accessible inside because of the pot plants, people, furniture, etc After 2-attempts to resolve this problem, we all decided to route the wiring from the outside to circumvent the obstacles inside
The day prior to starting I showed up, explained my plan which involved a manlift in the parking lot that would facilitate my installation along the wall I met the neighboring landlord of the Volvo shop along with the *** *** (*** owner) and explained that I need a few cars moved in order to do this electrical installation along the wall We all stood in plain view of the wall, parking lot, and the whole scope of work I told the owner of ***, Volvo owner several times that I was coming out of the *** building electrical room (pointed to the location) and proceed along the building to the front entrance This would be installed up high, thus the manlift
After getting the green light to make the installation, ordered the lift and made attempts to get permits within hours I asked *** *** for "upfront" payment, which my original estimate states that a 50% upfront installment must be made before work begins *** wanted to see a permit and an invoice before he would make paymentI visited the *** permit building daily in order to get through their newly implemented permit system, which is not only a horrible experience of waiting and having to get through the "grow house" process of having everything reviewedI told *** that I would need $upfront for the lift, material and permit, and I can begin the installation in areas not needing the permit (outside) I explained to *** what *** permit wanted and that it would not be easy because of the "grow house" status, and I would do everything I can to get us through He laughed and shook his head I received payment of $(instead of the $2500, upfront)to get started I hoisted my equipment, material and tools up into the air along the building and begin making my installation - (THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO HOLES CUT THROUGH THE BUILDING AT ANY TIME) At this moment, the landlord approached and was upset about my delivery truck running over his lawn, and asked me if I got permission to make this installation I said *** gave me permission and he wanted me to do things differently because the conduit would be noticeable up high After an hour of discussion with *** secretary, and landlord, we started from scratch on the planning because this was the first time the landlord knew of this I explained that accessibility was paramount with this installation, otherwise, it will costs three times the original amount We would have to move pot plants and furniture in order to make the landlord's plan possible and that the ceiling had zero room for installation in some areas After going back and forth all over again and pleas to install on the rooftop, we agreed to stay outside and bring it down instead of the 20' high installation as originally planned

I went down to the *** permit building the next morning and could not figure out their "new" system of pulling a permit They apparently have procedures in place for grow houses and it would take a week to review for a permit Additionally, they have a new system being implemented for getting a permit and it's taking 4+ hours or more to get through the system for a permit
I admitted to *** before I started that I've never pulled a permit for a grow house and that I've bid on these types of jobs, but never went through the process with any jurisdiction And as far as I'm concerned I did everything I could to get this installation completed I even asked *** if we could do this in a few weeks or any other time He said that he would but he needed his $back At that point I explained how there were costs associated with this job already and that I made a 100' weatherproof installation yesterday Disrespectful words, threats and gestures ensued from his secretary, co-workers and the owner *** After explaining my position the situation got worse in spite of my attempts to avoid problems As I was driving away the owner, *** *** mocked me and called me a "*** head"
