Epstein plumbing has refused to abide by the one year repair contract on my new construction home.I had a new home built form the ground. Moved in the home this past June/2014. There is currently a one year warranty on my home. One of my toilets are constantly running. I called the builder and informed them of my problem. The builder stated that they put in a work order to Epstein Plumbing(They installed all the plumbing in this particular home) to have the toilet fixed and that Epstein Plumbing would be contacting me to schedule appointment to come out. I did not hear from them until a week later. After explaining to Mr. [redacted], who is the owner, of my toilet situation, he refused to come out and fix my toilet because I lived to far away and that he would only come out when he had another work order or job in my area. Mr. [redacted] Epstein stated that once he gets a job in the area in which I live in he would come out and fix the problem. It has been about 3 weeks now and I have still not heard from Epstein Plumbing. Before I filed this complaint with Epstein Plumbing,I did some research and saw that there are other complaints with Epstein Plumbing with the same exact complaints. I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone.Desired SettlementHonor the one year warranty on the my home.Business Response I want to state that I do not have a contract with Mr [redacted] . My contract is with bluff city operations. I have spoken with MR. [redacted] about his problem and we can't seem to get access to his house either he is not available or we have more urgent problems.Mr. [redacted] has 3 bathrooms in his house 1 toilet is running . I advised Mr. [redacted] to turn the water supply off when the toilet is not in use. We do have to prioritize and if he wants to take a day off or have someone home we can fix the problem. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)No, Epstein does not have a contract with me ([redacted]) and the contract is with [redacted] Operations. The fact is that [redacted] advised me to contact Epstein Plumbing directly because [redacted] could not get Epstein Plumbing to contact me either. As far as me or someone being at home, Epstein Plumbing never called me to schedule an appointment to fix the problem. Epstein Plumbing did not call me until after they received my complaint from the Revdex.com and by this time my toilet was fixed by another Plumbing company referred by [redacted]. The fact stills remains that Epstein Plumbing decided not to come to my home to fix my toilet because they had no other work orders in my area.And by the way, I have two bathrooms, not three and why would I want to continue to inconvenience myself and family by using on toilet. Epstein just needs to honor there contract.

Company came to my rental to fix leak. Was not fixed correctly. I called them back the same week, took weeks to arrive, fixed but charged me again.I called Epstein Plumbing to my rental property at 3750 Argonne to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. I paid them but within a week my renter called and said that there was a big puddle under the sink and it was still leaking. I called them to let them know and they said that they would go back out to fix the leak properly. I asked them when they were going to do it and they said that they would call my renter and set something up. There was some confusion between them and my renter and they finally came back out after weeks. My renter told me that the new repair man informed her that the company was having to go back out on multiple properties that were initially "repaired" by the first repair man. The new repair man also told my renter that the company had to terminate the first repair man because he did not know what he was doing. My renter informed me that while the new repair man was working on my sink he made multiple comments about what a terrible job the last repair man had done and how he should have known how to make such a simple repair. (THIS IS THE SAME REPAIR THAT I PAID $128 FOR!!!) The new repair man finished up and I thought everything was complete. However, I received another bill, this time for $142.50. I called Epstein Plumbing because I was sure that it sent out mistakingly. They told me that it was not a mistake and that I owed for the new repair. I was stunned to hear this so I explained to them the entire situation that is listed above. He sounded shocked that I knew about the repairman being fired and seemed irritated that his other repair man told my renter. However he admitted to me that they did have a repairman that they had to terminate due to incompetence and were having to go back out on several properties. He told me that he would check and see what he could do and he would get back with me. I did not hear back from him so I called him the following week. Again he told me that he was going to check into it and that he would let me know. And again, I did hear back from him. I attempted to call a third time but did not get an employee on the phone. I hoped that he was just busy and would return my call eventually. However, today I received another invoice for $142.50 and it became apparent to me that they were trying to take advantage of me for THEIR mistake. I would like to have been able to solve this between myself and Epstein Plumbing but they do not seem very willing to be reasonable. I appreciate anything that you are able to do to help resolve this matter and I thank you for your time.Desired SettlementI feel that the $128 that I have already paid is more that reasonable and do not feel that I should owe anything for a second trip to accomplish what the first one should have.
