I have reached out to Equinenow. My horse was stolen and posted for sale on their website. Although they allowed me to post reward, there is no response from them and the way the website is set up, you have no contact info of the seller... This is a breeding ground for the sale of stolen animals.

I have not spoken with Equinenow yet. My horse, MISTY, was stolen. We have been searching and she turned up on their website for sale. Same name, everything. Hope they get back to me. I took out an ad on their website stating she was listed and was stolen offering a reward. Pray for the safe return of MISTY. The girl did not even change her name. There should be something to deter the sale of stolen horses.

Review: I have a horse advertised for sale on this web site. Another person has downloaded the photos and the information about my horse, given him another name, and advertised him AS IF HE WERE THEIR HORSE! This is a registered horse and I have the registration papers, I took all of the photos, they were taken on my own property. I have a second horse, who was not advertised on equinenow.com, but was advertised on another site, and this scammer has also done the same thing with that horse! I have emailed, used the online form and left several voice mail messages (a human being never answers the phone). I have not gotten any response, even though the online form contact I made generated a response that someone would get back to me within 24 hours (the first day I contacted them was 5 days ago and still nothing). Fraud is being committed by the person who stole the ID of my horses and I cannot do anything about it! I tried to send an email to the "seller" and asked them to please take the ads down, that these were my horses and that I had registration papers for them, and they had the nerve to write me back demanding to see a copy of the registration papers! Please, someone help me!Desired Settlement: I want the ads removed and the person who stole my information to be contacted. I want an explanation and an apology from equinenow.com.

Response:

Unfortunately with the Internet, copying and re-creating an ad is easy to do. if an ad has been falsely placed, we have an online reporting/flagging system that allows us to investigate and remove ads and user accounts. In this case, we have removed the offending ad (and others) by this user and disabled their account. Typically their location, email, phone number, IP address (basically their identity) is falsified, and the persons(s) is most likely not even in the US. If the seller would like to pursue legal action against whomever copied their ad and re-created it under a different user, we are certainly willing to cooperate with any type of legal investigation/subpoena by providing any information that might exist in our system.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My complaint was not only that someone "stole" my horse's identity and offered it or sale as their own, it was that EquineNow was unresponsive for close to a week. I called and left messages, I emailed and I attempted to contact them through their online form. All I wanted them to do was to take the offending ad down immediately but this did not occur, nor did they get back to me within 24 hours, as was promised after I filled out the online form. I will not be using them again.Regards,[redacted]

Review: Not sure if I selected the correct "nature" of the complaint...I placed an add with DogsNow.com to advertise the sale of puppies. The amount was not material only $5. However, I completed all the information and paid via my credit card from my home computer. I attempted to log into my account from my "work" computer and was denied. I received an email that said someone was trying to access my account from another IP address. I replied to message and explained it was me. They sent me another message asking me to provide them my name, address and password of my account. I replied with information but not my password as they should have that information. I contacted them via phone but no live person only left a message but nobody contacted me back. The repeatedly sent me messages saying they were going to cancel my subscription. I sent them an email and advised that I was going to contact the Revdex.com for someone to please contact me. Again, I received another email so finally out of frustration I gave them my password and received another message that they were still going to cancel my subscription. This is not acceptable business practices and I do not know what the issue is. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like to continue with my subscription if this is a legitimate business. However, they need to resolve whatever issues they are having and stop sending me text/emails that they are cancelling my subscription and asking me for my personal information. That is what disturbs me the most is asking me for my information. Thanks [redacted]

Review: This company is using my number, or allowing others to use my number in a scamming operation. I have been receiving multiple calls and texts every week the past 2 months or so regarding an ad for puppies. Everytime it is a different breed of puppy, and they are trying to use my number in a malicious way. I had to find out the name of this company through one of these consumers that contacted me and it was [redacted], owned under the name [redacted]. This harrassment needs to stop. Please do what you can to stop these scammers.Desired Settlement: I want my number removed from any site affiliated with them and I would like them to be investigated for scamming practices. These people aee being scammed by them and there are numerous sites that have multiple victims speaking out about being scammed out of actual money from them.

RE: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted]

DearRevdex.com,

RECEIVED NOV 1 0 2014

Thank you for forwarding the referenced complaint. We'd like to respond by explaining that our

website is a classified ad website, and the person filing the complaint is not our customer nor have we

done business with him/her. Also, because we are a classified ad website, we do not enter into any type

of sale or other transaction ... this is strictly between a buyer and seller (of which we are neither).

After searching our database, we find that none of our user accounts contain the phone number

referenced in the complaint. If there was such a user account, we could disable it and remove any

offending ads. Doing a Google search reveals the number in question appearing on a puppy ad placed

on Oodle (this is not our website/business):

We have no ability to disable that ad because it is not our website. The person filing the referenced

complaint will need to contact Oodle directly.

The Desired Settlement is for us to remove the phone number in question and have our company

investigated for scamming practices. As mentioned above, we don't have any accounts containing the phone

number so that is a moot point. The suggestion to investigate our company for scamming

practices is misguided. Our advertisers place the ads ... we are not involved in any transactions. So any

type of investigation should be focused on the parties actually doing business. We'll certainly

cooperate fully with any law enforcement investigation of our users.

Because the person filing the complaint is not our customer, their phone number does not appear in our

user database, we have not transacted any business with them, and the ad we found that shows their

phone number is not even on our website, we request that their complaint not be posted on the Revdex.com

website.

Review: hi, I am with [redacted] dog rescue. we rescue pets from high kill shelters, mostly dogs, as in this issue....we use petfinder.com to help us adopt the dogs out....this company, dogsnow, has pulled one of our pure bred dogs, and research has shown us that they do this with pure bred animals...LLC is for profit, correct. we are NOT for profit, and we did NOT give them permission to post this....I am afraid that if someone responds to their ad, that the potential adopters would have to pay a fee or something....this is not good, as it would not be good for our reputation....we have on numerous times tried calling, emailing, and filling out their contact forms, but they are not getting back to us....we do not know what else to do...any help from you would be appreciated. thanks...there really isn't any loss of money involved, as yet....I have the dog, so they cannot take this dog without me knowing about it....Desired Settlement: these people need to contact us, as desired, and we want them to remove the dog in question from their site. we did not authorize them to pull this dog or any other dog onto their site...thanks.

Business

Response:

Just to clarify, our website is only a classified ad website…we don't buy or sell dogs. Our website contains ads directly placed by sellers, but also uses a third party "ad aggregator" ([redacted]) which provides a data feed to sites like ours. The website you advertise on primarily, [redacted], sends your data to [redacted]. We receive a live feed from [redacted]...the ad doesn't exist in our database it just shows up on our website via the [redacted] data feed.

Since [redacted] is actually the originator of the ad, all links from the [redacted] website (and hence ours) lead back to [redacted] and therefore you as the creator of the ad. In essence, it increases your Internet visibility when [redacted] sends your ad information to [redacted]. So you should really address the issue with [redacted] where you originally placed your ad and who sent your data to [redacted].

Now…it is possible that someone has copied your ad on [redacted]s and created a *new* ad on our site. If that is the case, this would be a typical scammer ploy and we'd like to know the Ad ID# (or URL) on our site so we can remove it. We do this daily and its something we take very seriously. I suspect, however, that you're seeing an [redacted] ad that has arrived at our site via [redacted] sending them your ad information.
