Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.MrOken did agree to come out only after I told him that my attorney requested a copy of the original invoice. I did call his office again, once that day to ask him to still bring a copy of the original invoice. He was not willing to do that. He agreed to come out and look at the furnace after I mentioned my attorney rather than produce the invoice. When I still wanted the invoice, he did not come. I have the invoice in which his company stated he cleaned the furnace prior to me buying the home. This was a condition of me buying the home per the inspector's find. I can and will produce the emails and invoice that he signed stating the work was done. What person buys a home without having the furnace cleaned. I have spoken to the previous owner and she said she paid MrOken to clean the furnace AGAIN. He received money for services he did not render. He says I was demanding. I was not demanding only insistent that he do the work he was paid for. He admits that he was contacted to come out and repair a hole in the chimney. This was observed not done during the final walk through. My real estate agent can and will attest to this. A clean furnace is not something that can be seen on a walk through. This was believed to have been done based on the invoice received by my real estate agent He is disputing what I had to pay for the furnace. Here is what I am asking which is what I originally asked for. I would like a copy of the invoice that says he cleaned the furnace prior to my closing on the house. That is what I originally asked for. Also, by his own admissions he says there is no company that charges more than $to clean and inspect a furnace. I have an invoice with his company name on it that says he charged $165. He says he decided not to keep me as a customer, I was never a customer of his, and his business does not have "an outstanding reputation" in the community.
Regards,
*** ***

Dear Revdex.com,         I, Steve Okcun am the owner of OKEN Heating and Air Conditioning responding to Ms. [redacted] complaint. We had done a Clean & Check that was requested by...

the previous home owner, [redacted] a couple of months before the closing date, so she can easily sell her home because there were perspective buyers looking at the home. Therefore, this was one of the necessities to make it easy for her to sell the home. We did a total clean & check, and charged Mrs. [redacted] $65.00. This entails a complete cleaning which requires vacuuming, the inducer motor. checking all electronic components, removing the burner assembly, cleaning the orfices, examining the heat exchanger for visible cracks, which is the number one priority for carbon monoxide and found no visible cracks and our testers did not respond to any carbon monoxide. We checked the squirrel cage and did an amp draw on all electronic components and found everything to be in tolerance. After the Clean & Check was performed, the furnace was in good working order and functioning. We submitted our invoice and we were compensated by [redacted]. We were requested to come out a second time by Mrs. [redacted], due to the inspector finding faults on the flu and chimney and a gas leak, which is not part of the Clean & Check, but needed to be fixed in order to sell the home. One was a small hole in the flu going into the chimney. The second one was, a small gas leak near the furnace that we repaired on our second visit. So what we did was, due to the request of Mrs. [redacted], we made one invoice that had the Clean & Check, and the services provided the second time all on one invoice. There is no company in Rochester that does a Clean & Check that is more than $90.00. I do not understand which company charges $400.00 for a Clean & Check, unless it is from a different State. Ms. [redacted] called me, and complained that her furnace was not working after she purchased the same existing home. I told her this was not under warranty, and it was a basic Clean & Check. I told her things she could possibly do such as "the gas was off, or the electrical switch was off" that she could check for. She wanted me to come back to her house and look at the furnace. I told her I would, but after calling me half a dozen times the same day, and requesting paperwork on the history of the furnace, I decided not to take on the job, since she kept insisting on a warranty. We have an outstanding reputation with our customers, and never had any complaints that exceeded to this level. We've always taken care of our customers, but Mrs. [redacted] was very demanding and decided not to continue her as one of our customers.       Steve Okcun from OKEN Heating & Air Conditioning
