Dear Revdex.com, I, Steve Okcun am the owner of OKEN Heating and Air Conditioning responding to Ms [redacted] complaintWe had done a Clean & Check that was requested by the previous home owner, [redacted] a couple of months before the closing date, so she can easily sell her home because there were perspective buyers looking at the homeTherefore, this was one of the necessities to make it easy for her to sell the homeWe did a total clean & check, and charged Mrs [redacted] $This entails a complete cleaning which requires vacuuming, the inducer motorchecking all electronic components, removing the burner assembly, cleaning the orfices, examining the heat exchanger for visible cracks, which is the number one priority for carbon monoxide and found no visible cracks and our testers did not respond to any carbon monoxideWe checked the squirrel cage and did an amp draw on all electronic components and found everything to be in toleranceAfter the Clean & Check was performed, the furnace was in good working order and functioningWe submitted our invoice and we were compensated by [redacted] We were requested to come out a second time by Mrs [redacted] , due to the inspector finding faults on the flu and chimney and a gas leak, which is not part of the Clean & Check, but needed to be fixed in order to sell the homeOne was a small hole in the flu going into the chimneyThe second one was, a small gas leak near the furnace that we repaired on our second visitSo what we did was, due to the request of Mrs [redacted] , we made one invoice that had the Clean & Check, and the services provided the second time all on one invoiceThere is no company in Rochester that does a Clean & Check that is more than $I do not understand which company charges $for a Clean & Check, unless it is from a different StateMs [redacted] called me, and complained that her furnace was not working after she purchased the same existing homeI told her this was not under warranty, and it was a basic Clean & CheckI told her things she could possibly do such as "the gas was off, or the electrical switch was off" that she could check forShe wanted me to come back to her house and look at the furnaceI told her I would, but after calling me half a dozen times the same day, and requesting paperwork on the history of the furnace, I decided not to take on the job, since she kept insisting on a warrantyWe have an outstanding reputation with our customers, and never had any complaints that exceeded to this levelWe've always taken care of our customers, but Mrs [redacted] was very demanding and decided not to continue her as one of our customers Steve Okcun from OKEN Heating & Air Conditioning

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowMrOken did agree to come out only after I told him that my attorney requested a copy of the original invoice I did call his office again, once that day to ask him to still bring a copy of the original invoice He was not willing to do that He agreed to come out and look at the furnace after I mentioned my attorney rather than produce the invoice When I still wanted the invoice, he did not come I have the invoice in which his company stated he cleaned the furnace prior to me buying the home This was a condition of me buying the home per the inspector's find I can and will produce the emails and invoice that he signed stating the work was done What person buys a home without having the furnace cleaned I have spoken to the previous owner and she said she paid MrOken to clean the furnace AGAIN He received money for services he did not render He says I was demanding I was not demanding only insistent that he do the work he was paid for He admits that he was contacted to come out and repair a hole in the chimney This was observed not done during the final walk through My real estate agent can and will attest to this A clean furnace is not something that can be seen on a walk through This was believed to have been done based on the invoice received by my real estate agent He is disputing what I had to pay for the furnace Here is what I am asking which is what I originally asked for I would like a copy of the invoice that says he cleaned the furnace prior to my closing on the house That is what I originally asked for Also, by his own admissions he says there is no company that charges more than $to clean and inspect a furnace I have an invoice with his company name on it that says he charged $ He says he decided not to keep me as a customer, I was never a customer of his, and his business does not have "an outstanding reputation" in the community Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com Spoke to consumer this morningShe would like a copy from the company on the work performed before she moved in

We take all consumers complaints seriously.  We contacted Mr. [redacted] on 4/4,5,6/16 and left three messages that we would like to schedule a visit to discuss the service issue he has with Greenup. Mr. [redacted] has not called us back.  So we are unable to resolve this complaint.Harold [redacted]

We have contacted [redacted] to inform him we have credited  his account.  The balance is zero.

Revdex.com:
I have...

reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.

The letter Mr. [redacted] sent to us is an address that we moved from in April.  The fowarding of mail from this address expired the first of October.  Our mailing address is a P.O. Box which is noted on all of our invoices.  The first treatment for Mr. [redacted] was on 7/12/16 which...

included fertilizer and insect control.  There was evidence of sod webworms at that time.  Mr. [redacted] called our office wanting another treatment stating he thought he had sod webworms.  He was informed by our office staff that a service will be set up to address this issue. He was told the lawn should start to recover within 2 to 4 weeks depending on the weather conditions, cooler weather and/or lack of water will delay the recovering time.  The insecticide that was used for the sod webworms controls the insect very well.  There is not an insecticide that will control the moths or eggs that may have been laid.  Moths in the lawn is an indication that there could be sod webworms in the lawn.  Once the sod webworms have been controlled with a treatment, very seldom does a reinfestation occur.  Mr. [redacted] called our office 10/7/16 requesting us to return to check on the lawn.  Our office staff called 10/12/16 to let Mr. [redacted] know we would be out on 10/12/16 to check his lawn and retreat if needed at no charge.  He declined the service and stated our treatment did not work.  Our staff  tried to get Mr. [redacted] to let us come out address his concern, to which he declined the service. We have treated over 2500 lawns this summer for sod webworms and have not a single instance of the treatment not working.  Mr. [redacted] did not inform us at any time that he had someone else treat his lawn.  He did stated he wanted a refund for the last service but would not allow us to come out and inspect the lawn to evaluate our treatment.  A refund would not be allowed if we can not inspect our work.

Mr. [redacted] request for a refund is not acceptable to Greenup.  Mr. [redacted] would not allow us to inspect his lawn to confirm his complaint about the treatment did not work or allow us to take any corrective action if needed.
