Equity Publishing

Equity Publishing and Mr. White do not deliver what they say they will deliver. They do take your money. Then two months later hit your credit card for additional charges. The Fraud Department of my credit card company alerted me of the additional charges that I did not authorize. My card has been frozen then replaced and the charges not honored. Equity Publishing was contracted to deliver the publication on 20 NOV 2019. I have not even received a proof of the art-work and articles I created for the publication. My wife is a graphic designer and has published professional magazine before. Equity Publishing is NOT taking any of the steps required to produce a publication. On 4/18/18, I was contacted by Mr W with a business opportunity to help market the senior housing community at which I am the sales director. He stated that I would give him contact info for businesses that we partner with and he would sell them ad space in a magazine that is a specific to our community. He stated that there was no cost to us. After the ads were sold, then he stated that we'd simply give him our marketing materials for the magazine, he'd assemble it and it would then be printed. He said that there would be 6000 copies. He'd mail out to whom ever we wanted and then we'd have a few boxes for give aways here at the community. At the end of April, Mr W came to Boise and met with prospective advertisers and sold ads. He deposited their checks the same day. Then he left town and said we'd have a magazine article in a short amount of time. On 5/24, I sent my first email asking for a date that we'd publish. No response. On 6/22, Mr W said that we were almost ready. He requested a photo for the front cover, and I sent him one. At that time, I again asked for a date that we would get them. No response. On 6/23, Mr W started calling my corporate office and sister communities stating that we did a magazine with him and soliciting their business, even though we still didn't have a finished product. On Sept 26th, I received an email from Mr W's assistant saying that there were only 5 more pages to put into place. He stopped returning email and calls to myself and advertisers. On 10/24 I finally received a proof. I emailed changes to him and they were finally made and magazine was sent to us for review on 11/21. I called Mr W to request that he send all of the magazines to us rather than mail them out, he stated that he already mailed them out. He didn't even tell me where and no one has seen one. He apologized and said he'd print more and overnight them to be here 12/5. They still aren't here. I don't believe that he mailed any out.
