Review: I hired the company to clean my houseThe workers created several new problemsThey broke a new storm doorThe broke an attic storm windowThey damaged several blindsThey left a large stain on a kitchen counter which the owner admitted he did with a bottle of degreaserThey turned up the heat and then opened the windows to clean them resulting in an inordinately high oil bill
The owner of the company said he would get back to me about the degreaser stain but never didHe claimed his workers did not break the storm door even though they were the only people in the house.Desired Settlement: I want people to know that the workers at this company are careless and not adequately supervised

[redacted] Subject: Response to complaint [redacted] The job done for this individual was a 3-day jobAlthough I like to be present for all of my jobs, I am only one man and staying on site for a four day long job is very difficult for me to do because I have other jobs to attend toI do make it a priority to stop by job sites daily and supervise for a portion of every day, which includes me doing hands on work of my ownWith that said, my workers have been with me for many years and are completely trustworthyI pointed out to the customer that several blinds were damaged before we started the jobHe told me he was going to be replacing the blindsAlthough I was not present through out the entire job, my workers assure me that they did not turn on/up the heatI can not say for sure if this is completely valid, because as I stated earlier I was not there the entire time, but my guys have worked with me for many years and we have never had this issue or an issue of lyingUnfortunately, there was a leak in one of our bottles that left a stain on his counter and I take full responsibility for thisI spoke with the customer the last day of our job and explained exactly that to himI also assured him that I would look into what we could do to possibly reverse the stain and get back to himI left a message for this customer on the 24th of April but have yet to hear backI will continue to reach out to this customer and do everything I can to satisfy himWe did not damage the storm door, window, or blindsI take full responsibility for the counter topIf you have any questions please feel free to contact meThank you Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: First, leaving a message on my answering machine is not fixing a problemHe walked out of my houses saying he would call me with a solution to the ring and never didEven now, he has never proposed a solutionHow long does it take a cleaning service to figure out how to remove a ring from a counter, especially since the service admits that it left the ring.Second, the storm door looked perfect the day before MrE[redacted]'s crew arrivedIt was broken one day laterNobody else was in the houseOf course they did itThat he refuses to take responsibility is disappointing.Third, I arrived at the house and found the heat turned up and the windows openThe only people there were his crewMy heating oil people called me to tell me that me the company was surprised by how high the bill was for that monthNobody other than MrE[redacted] and his crew were there.Fourththere were some broken blinds before the crew arrived, but they broke additional ones and were completely careless about the blinds in generalFifth, the same goes for the windowsThere were some cracked, but they broke ones that were not broken before they arrivedOn the third floor they broke a storm window that was fine before they arrivedNot only was it cracked but it was put back improperly, which probably led to the window cracking
