Review: they sent me a bill for charges for my sons dentist work done. that bill they sent me showed charges and payments. when you do the math on the bill they sent it comes to $1 owed but they are charging me $223 for what they say my insurance didn't pay them. I had called my insurance and they said this dentist never submitted claims for the dates they are saying and never spoke with my insurance. I had given this dentist the direct number to my insurance and the group number for the insurance at that point they ask what a group number is. they should know this. they also have my social security number as well as my sons. I had my insurance call this dentist direct and tell them they never received any claim from them for the dates they are saying its for. they then after I sent the bill back to them that they sent me showing them with their own bill they sent it would only be $1 they then sent a hand written letter saying I need to now pay $434 instead of the first bill of $223 and they hand wrote some dates and charges. they have not sent me an actual bill with actual dates at all yet they are threatening if not paid in 30 days to send me to collections. I had also advised them they need to bill my sons mother [redacted] and not me because she is the one who signed to have them as my sons dentist and she is responsible not me. I never signed anything authorizing them to be my sons dentist nor did I sign anything for them to authorize them to bill me. I never signed anything with them at all and I will never sign anything with them. I have told his mother not to use this dentist because they cant handle talking to my insurance to correctly bill, cant send a proper bill, and they hurt my son when doing work. [redacted] is responsible for the charges as she is the one who signed not me. its her dentist not mine. I told them this but they are still trying to bill me and threaten collections for something they have not even sent me a correct bill for. carrie is who needs to be billed not me.Desired Settlement: my name needs to be removed from the bill as I never signed anything to authorize them to bill me or to be my sons dentist only [redacted] his mother is the one who signed and she is responsible to be billed for it. the dentist needs to talk to my insurance and properly submit the claim as my insurance has verified the dentist never has submitted the claim to my insurance ever and never called about them either.They need to properly send claim and properly bill [redacted]

I'm not going to attempt to try to follow the ins and outs , figures , and allegations in Mr . [redacted]'s complaint. I will say we are a small office and are constantly dealing with insurance issues , miss- information: re . what plan is in effect , who is the responsible parent, inconsistant information from insurance representatives, on and on. The person responsible for these issues recognizes that most of our patient families have limited resources and spends a great deal of her time, much of it on the phone on hold , trying to resolve such problems, often the patients family not even being aware of these efforts. Are we always successful? Of course not, but Mr . [redacted]' claims that we said we did things we didn ' t do, and are incompetent, etc. just aren' t so . Believe me, insurance representatives are good sources of misinformation and errors in determining benefits. In this case enough is enough, and although Mr. [redacted] may celebrate his victory, I'm not prepared to spend any more time and energy on this situation and will write off the balance due.
