[redacted] was seen in my office on 03/05/2015. My website states free consultation for the cosmetic plastic surgery procedures listed on my website, however [redacted] was seen in my office and her procedure was not a cosmetic procedure...

but reconstructive and billable to insurance. When Mrs. [redacted] scheduled the appointment she advised my assistant that [redacted] needed a revision on her ear from a prior surgery. She did not state that she had infected Keloid Scars. She did state that her insurance does not cover cosmetic procedures and was advised by my assistant that we will determine if it is cosmetic when they arrive for their consultation. This was not a cosmetic consultation. Mrs. [redacted] provided an insurance card to my assistant which was then forwarded to our biller. Mrs. [redacted] did not tell my assistant that the insurance was NOT active at the time of the appointment on 03/05/2015. Had she mentioned this we would have not billed the insurance and we would have gladly entered this as a cosmetic consultation. Her insurance was not active until 3/16/15. Inactive insurance is the only reason her insurance did not cover the consultation and that is why she received a bill from our outside biller. Had her insurance been ACTIVE, it would have been covered because it was not cosmetic plastic surgery, but reconstructive. Nevertheless, I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] and kindly waived the consultation fee. In the future please respectfully talk with the doctor before filing a Revdex.com complaint because we always do our best to meet the needs of all our patients. This complaint has been resolved.
