Erica Savage Photography Reviews (1)

Review: Erica Savage did not show up to take the photographs that she promised she woul at our wedding. We paid her a $300 deposit for a 2 hour photo shoot at the wedding, but she never came and she will not refund our deposit.Desired Settlement: We want a full refund of our deposit($300) and additional $200 for the emotional trauma that she caused. I had to find a last minute photographer and my wedding day was so stressful because our photographer did not show up. I have had to recuperate and pay for therapy for the emotional trauma. I've spend valuable time planning, filing, and making last minute because of her poor customer service. This should have been a time of peace and happiness as a married couple, but Ms. Savage changed that.

Business

Response:

To whom it may concern, I would like to state for the record, this complaint is an embellished fabrication of the actual truth and I am prepared to counter this claim for defamation of my character and my business with documented information stating the opposite of what Mrs. [redacted] is makings claims for. If you see the attachments, it has always been my policy to require a "NON-REFUNDABLE" deposit when booking wedding photos. All of my initial proceedings were with [redacted], the husband of the person filing the complaint. He was aware of ALL stipulated policies with my company. I received multiple text messages and emails from both parties ([redacted] and [redacted]) that they were "GIFTED" wedding photography and no longer wanted to use my services and they wanted to know what my cancellation policy was. When I explained to them that they would not receive their refund back they were not happy. The wedding date was only 2 weeks ago, so it is a stretch to say that she would like additional money for trauma therapy. The contract provided to them was never returned nor did I receive full payment beforehand which is also my policy. I also received text messages from the filers husband on May 8, 2015 at 9:30pm the night before the wedding date Saturday May 9th, 2015 that they decided to go with the person who "GIFTED" them photography. Please see ALL ATTACHMENTS for verification. Regards, Erica Savage

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:We first want to mention that since we have made our claim, [redacted] has responded rashly and verbally abused us through [redacted] and social media. She has used scare tactics and intimidation to try and stop us from responding. Not only is that extremely disrespectful, but it is also a display of very bad business sense. Which is why our complaint stands: [redacted] provided us with bad business and threatened to not show up at our wedding and not give us our deposit back. She neglected to mention this in her response, but we have added our series of emails onto this complaint. No where in any of our messages did we agree to have a non refundable deposit. When we agreed upon price and packages, we didn't agree to have a non refundable deposit. Until [redacted] can prove that we agreed to that, our case stands: we want out deposit back. We attached our series of email messages, where [redacted] says she will not be attending our wedding. She left the terms of our agreement very vague and never sent us a contract until we requested. In that contract, we asked her to tell us when she would have the finished product, but she emailed us a contract without that information, so we did not feel comfortable signing it. Not to mention she emailed us this the day before our wedding, so we did not have time to look it over and sign it. We believe she purposely left unanswered questions so that she could use leverage to not show up at our wedding, but still try and keep our money. She threatened "I don't do work without payment in full, that has always been my policy. I am comfortable giving you a contract, but I won't show up tomorrow without payment." We do no care what her policy has been in the past, she made the terms unclear to us and instead of giving us a legitimate contract when we sent her the deposit, she waited until the day before the wedding to coerce us and change the terms of our agreement. Since she made very few terms clear and because we also never agreed to pay a nonrefundable deposit, we want that money back. [redacted] is a great photographer and she seems to want to keep her image, honesty, and integrity intact. We are concerned that [redacted] is putting her reputation on the line for a $300 deposit. If she really wanted to make things right and keep her reputation of being honest, she should stop harassing us through social media and return what we gave to her. If she decides to do this and give us our deposit back, we will take back our complaint and take no further action. But if she continues to intimidate us and abuse us, our claim will stand and we cannot guarantee we will not take additional action. We would really like to resolve this in a peaceful and in a professional manner. We would appreciate if she didn't attack us about our religious beliefs or attempted to contact us in any other way besides through the Revdex.com. We know we haven't done everything perfect and that our last claim was very aggressive, but we are just trying to do the right thing and prevent future brides and grooms from going through the stressful situation that we did. We hope you can understand. Thanks[redacted] and [redacted]
