Erich Small Landscape Reviews (1)

Review: Erich, you have costs me many hundreds of dollars with your mistakes, not to mention my time and inconvenience. Here's just a short list:1. The first was being woken up at midnight to find the water department in the street out front of my house shutting my water main off because the 1" line connection YOU made at the front of the house for the new irrigation system YOU were installing exploded, running 11,000 gallons of water in less than 20 minutes through my yard and between the house and garage, washing out and undermining the front walk of bricks I laid, as well the brick walkway in my breezeway. I spent the next morning having to rent a trash pump to pump the water out of my basement and had to hire a laborer to help me take up all of the bricks in both areas so that I could backfill everything before having to re-lay all of the brick for the front walk and breezeway again over a period of two weekends. I had to run to the stone yard that same day and load my car up twice with 75# bags of mason's sand for all of the brickwork setting.2. Next, after YOU repaired the 1" waterline connection a second time and even before the hole could be backfilled it cracked and was leaking again.3. After repair #3 at the same 1" waterline connection to the irrigation system YOU installed (with a subcontractor this time YOU hired) I left the hole open for a few days or so before backfilling. Weeks after repair #3 and a yet another whopping water bill, I noticed the area at the front of the house where the 1" waterline connection to the irrigation system YOU made was saturated with water and mud. I dug the area up a third time only to find the connection leaking again! I checked my basement immediately only to find it flooded 18" deep in water again! I went a second time to rent a trash pump to pump my basement out and called in my own plumber to make the repair for yet a 4th time with no problems since.4. Their were subsequently two more modifications to the irrigation system based on the fact that their was to much water pressure then not enough, and it seemed like a great deal of guess work on your part for someone whom does this kind work regularly on much bigger and far more complicated high-end properties. 5. Since when do you simply lay 110v wire in the dirt, not in conduit? The reason I dug up the wire from the timer to the valves in the back yard was because you only had the wire in conduit on the wall of the house to grade (I have those photos as well) and YOU buried the rest of the wire in the dirt against the house, big no no! I hired you to do a professional job, this wasn't close. None of the anchors you set for the timer box are holding, you can pull the box right off the wall. Fortunately I set metal straps for the conduit on the wall or the whole thing would have come off, timer, conduit, and all...Desired Settlement: The damages to my property resulted in two very large water bills, a plumber repair bill, equipment rental bills, the hiring of labor to do the necessary cleanup and assist in the repair work, my time to repair damaged hardscape and faulty workmanship. A fair and conservative estimate for refund for the damage and faulty workmanship on numerous occasions would be $850.
