I couldn't be happier with the job Erickson Roofing did on my house They were great to deal with from start to finish They were accommodating with dates and a shingle-colour switch The workers showed up on time and were wonderful, personable guys; they made sure I was awake before listening to music, carefully moved birds' nests, and were great with details When other guys came to install our new skylight, they even fixed two downspouts they noticed needed re-attachment to the house This was above and beyond my expectations And Erickson Roofing came in $ [redacted] cheaper than other quotes we received It was a pleasure to deal with this company and I highly recommend them Thanks, Erickson Roofing!

This day job took over two weeks to complete Our driveway suffered extensive damage due to the disposal bin and supply delivery fiasco A fireplace rock in place for over years dropped onto our hardwood flooring as a result of hammering Our neighbours had to supply the roofers with a ladder to get down off our roof The Customer Service MANAGER worked with us to resolve all these concerns including a commitment to have the driveway fixed However the owner sends us a WITHOUT PREJUDICE letter threatening to lien our property unless the bill is paid less $*** in ten days

Before I get into the negative aspects of our experience, I will preface this review by saying that Erickson Roofing did eventually complete the job they set out to do, and almost a year later we have not had any issues with the quality of the actual roofing job that was done.

First, when we officially signed on to have them do our roof at the end of August 2015, but didn't end up starting until late November. This should have been no more than a 2-3 week job according to roofers that we've talked to since this experience (including the extra work they had to take care of because of some rot they found under the old roof). It ended up lasting over 3 months. I know the job is weather dependant, but some days they wouldn't show up on site until between 12pm-2pm, and then wrap up and call it a day by 3pm. Other days they just wouldn't show up at all, despite there being good weather and them having made a commitment to show up for work that day.

On multiple occasions throughout the project the wrong materials were delivered to the site, which inevitably set everything back by several days each time this happened. The tarp job they did on our workshop while the roof was under repair leaked on two separate occasions, completely drenching everything inside our workshop and destroying the counters inside. To their credit they did replace the counters that were damaged, but not without us having to ask them what they were going to do about it first. They also skipped out on putting a drip edge on several areas of our new roof, thankfully we noticed, and insisted that they install the drip edge to complete the job and give the roof a finished look. They did eventually install the drip edge to complete the roof.

We have two dogs, which they saw every time they showed up. This left small bits of shingle and nails everywhere. The cleanup job they did on site was ridiculous, but by the time they had finished with the roof we were so fed up with getting the run around, and getting excuse after excuse from them that we decided it was easier and less hassle to take care of any remaining on-site clean up ourselves. We are still finding bits of shingle and roofing nails in our yard to this day.

It has taken us awhile to post a review because it was a very overwhelming and difficult experience for us as new home owners, one which we were ready to just be over. We also wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt -- maybe this project was just a one-off that went sideways for them. If that were the case, we could at least understand it.
