Due to an incorrect posting of mileage by this company, a discrepancy emerged from my warranty company that caused my claim to be annuled. I filed a complaint with the warranty company and they refunded my money but didn't fix my car due to the wrong mileage posted. The company appeared to help me; but gathered untrue facts and left me a phone call wishing me good luck. My complaint ID with the Revdex.com serving Chicago and N. Illinois will support the findings. On 1/19/19 this company posted with CARFAX a mileage of 123876, on 1/21/19 I started a warranty at 121924; and to support my mileage and show this company was the reason, I had from my insurance company a claim on 1/31/19 that recorded and took pictures of my mileage at 122109. When I tried to use my warranty at 124581 miles on 7/1/19 which passed the 60 day waiting period but not the 1000 miles due to the wrong posting of 123876 only giving me 705 miles; which should have been at least 2472 miles if used the mileage from the insurance company alone. So the blame as to what null in void my warranty was due to this company.
After speaking with a representative of *** Warranty Company, it was confirmed the customer had initiated termination of the warranty and received a refund equal to the amount paid in. Our recorded mileage discrepancy caused a setback in ***'s ability to approve the customer's claim, however, according to the representative at *** this issue could have been resolved since the mileage was readjusted on Carfax. It was stated by a representative from *** that if the customer returned his refund, they would reinstate his warranty and his claim would be subject to approval or denial based on determinant factors not related to mileage. The customer was adamant our company should pay his warranty deposit fee because he was uncertain whether his warranty claim would be approved even with the mileage correction. At this point, in order to move forward, the customer needs to return his deposit in order to reinstate his warranty so *** may properly assess his claim.

Apparently we're dealing with time, I initiated this warrenty claim on 7/1/19 and tried for weeks to resolve the issue. It was due to Pennzoil Erie 10 Minute Oil Change's recording of a wrong mileage that my claim was denied. It was ME who showed evidence to CARFAX who removed it off their record. Even after that the warranty place offered me 2 options: to start a new contract or a partial refund. Pennzoil didn't change their records or call me tthat they had changed them or reported to CARFAX so I took the refund because my car was in the shop getting repaird and I was running out money. By the time Pennzoil called me that he had made a deal with the warranty company, it was too late to return the check because the money was put to pay for my car. And I told Pennzoil that I would have had my car fixed a month ago and not accumulated excess rental fees if it wasn't for their mistake. They offered my a free oil change as if that month of extra hardship caused by their mistake would resolve their error. Pennzoil doesn't seem to want to accept ANY responsibility for the financial debt they have caused. Therefore, I am rejecting their response.
