Erika's Delights Reviews (1)

Review: Their website stated a ring was .925 sterling silver & I even emailed asking why the picture on line wasnt as silver & shiny as it should've been & someone replied saying its the lighting or camera. When I got the ring it wasnt a full circle, more lopsided to the right. The ring also looked as if it had been cheaply cut in half & welded together multiple places. I honestly didnt mind, it was character. The ring wasn't even marked .925 as they say online, which didnt bother me as their site states they make each ring to order so I figured they forget to stamp it. Now, a few months later, I found a nice stone & pulled the ring out of the box I stored it in & the ring has completely changed!!! The cheap silver coat is wearing off showing its true brown/ black mess underneath. Where the stone sets & ring meet is showing some strange white glue like material. I called with no reply yet. Im just glad I didnt order a gold ring & really waste my money.Desired Settlement: I would like my moneys refunded including shipping costs, which was 13.74 total. They should remove their Revdex.com accredited slogan off their website as well & accurately post their products as thin silver plated not pure .925 sterling silver.

Response:

Hi Tina,

I am very sorry you are unhappy with the ring setting we like our customers to be satisfied with their purchases. We have given you a full refund through Paypal (Transaction ID # [redacted]) in the amount of $13.74, the cost of the setting ($9.99) plus shipping ($3.75). I am sorry we were unable to contact you sooner. You had called on A Sunday and we are not open then. We tried contacting you and left a message, but have not received a return call.

All of our ring setting are sterling silver. If you take the ring setting to a jeweler and have it tested you will find out it is sterling silver. We have sold thousands upon thousands of sterling silver settings and have never once had the purity of our settings questioned. All of our ring settings have a small 925 mark (sometimes faint) on the inside band in the ring. You are seeing black and brown because the ring has tarnished. All sterling silver will eventually tarnish when exposed to the air. Silver oxides causing the outside of silver to become brown and black. The only way sterling silver will not tarnish is if the sterling silver is plated with rhodium, gold, platinum, or composed with argentium or if it is kept in an air tight plastic baggie with anti tarnish strips. Sterling silver needs to be regularly cleaned with silver cleaner to prevent tarnishing. If you live an area that is more humid silver will tarnish at a quicker pace.

You are also saying the ring setting looks cheaply made and looks welded together. These are made from molds and are one solid piece, there is no welding. You are saying their is a white glue like substance. There is no glue on the ring settings. When you purchase a brand new ring settings they require a final polish after setting your gemstone. You will see the white substance in the grooves of the design on the setting. The more detailed the design the more polishing it requires.

The ring setting you purchased has a swirl shank and does not have a completely round shank. If the ring was lopsided and not made right had you contacted us sooner we would have shipped you out replacement. It has been over 4 months since you ordered this ring.

If you plan on buying anymore sterling silver ring settings in the future take into consideration what I have told you. There are several other sellers out there who sell the same type of ring settings, same process to make them. If you ordered one today from them I can guarantee you will end up with the same quality ring setting. I hope I have answered all of your concerns and am trulely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Have a good day

Erika
