I, became a cosigner for a friend to rent an apartment in northern California in March of The friend left the apartment in early and I received a letter from the GONE collection agency regarding a payment due for the apartment which needed repairsI called GONE and spoke to a gentleman and agreed to pay the full amount in installments beginning in May 23rdI setup automatic deductions to be withdrawn the 23rd of every month until completely paid off in August 23, I received a receipt for the first payment in my email and a second charge shows on my credit card on 1st of July and then nothingOn September 1st, 2016, the GONE collection agency reported the amount unpaidThis is not true and their action has caused a significant drop in my credit scoreI will be pursuing this with the credit bureau and GONE Inc collection agency, office in Modesto, CAThe collection agency's neglect and irresponsible behavior is hurting people like me
Today, 10/6/2016, I received an alert from my credit monitoring company that Gone Collection Agency had posted a collection amount of $on my credit reportI had no idea who that company was and why they would post a collection on my credit reportWhen I called them they informed it was for eviction chargesafter further probing it turns out it was eviction charges related to my exwife being evicted from the martial home that was awarded to her as part of out divorce back December of When I explained that I haven't lived in that house since march they didn't careThis has nothing to do with me, I never received an eviction notice nor was I evictedThey are blackmailing me in order to collect moneys owed to them by my exThis is not right
Disputing collections from GONE, for an amount billed for carpet replacement to PVA, which I was not responsible forApartment was left in clean condition with cleaned carpets and have photos time stamped for verificationDeposit was used for cleaning to made up issues from PVA, collection is invalid, needs to be deleted and removed from creditFRAUDULENT collections
Beware GONE, Increports inaccurate data to credit bureau agencies I have a judgement a little over $2,with an apartment complex they work closely with More than likely they two are within the same organization They have reported I owe close to 6,for rental/lease, which is untrue I have wrote Gone, Inc, the apartment complex and the property management demanding they remove it since it is inaccurate information reported They refuse, claiming I owe more money I will not let this issue go If you rent from Greenbriar more than likely expect to get a bill claiming you owe more money than your deposit covers Someone, needs to do something about Greenbriar, Gone, Incat the time it was JCM property management They are money hungry and don't care about anyone's well being It's all about getting you in the complex, getting you out of the complex, then overcharging you when you leave I'm sure there are many that will agree with me They have been doing this for a long time Do your research you will see So, I hope to save some from renting from Greenbriar I'd hate to see your credit drop because of the unethical acts Gone, Incwill report you right away and not remove
I have a line item on my credit report for $2,I do take responsibility for part of this collection however, it also shows on my credit report that this is a joint accountI was previously told my someone who worked for GONE that I have to pay the full amount on my ownI do not believe this is fair considering the collection is for a joint account because two people were on the leaseSince moving out, I have not spoken to the other personI have no way of contacting him eitherRegardless, I would like this removed from my credit
