We tried to reach out to consumer without success. Silver
Tax Group’s management has attempted to make contact with the client to discuss
her concerns as outlined in the complaint. [redacted] Tax Group was retained
by the client to represent her before the Internal Revenue Service ([redacted]) to
negotiate an installment agreement, as outlined in a Client Services
Agreement. [redacted] Tax Group professionally represented the client in
negotiations with the [redacted], and maintained contact with the client to obtain all
required documentation. Cases such as the client’s are non-streamlined,
this means that there are additional [redacted] procedures and reviews that must go
into place before an installment agreement is finalized, including review by an
[redacted] manager. This additional government review delays the final
resolution of the case. [redacted] Tax Group ensures that a hold is placed on
all collection activity during the negotiation and review of a proposed
installment agreement. The installment agreement negotiated by [redacted] Tax
Group was accepted and approved by the [redacted], fulfilling [redacted] Tax Group’s
contractual obligations to the client.The
work the client retained [redacted] Tax Group to perform was completed
professionally and efficiently. Unfortunately in any case with the [redacted]
there may be unforeseen circumstances that come up, and occasionally mistakes
are made by the [redacted]. We are unable to see exactly what goes on at the
[redacted], and we must rely on our knowledge and the word of the [redacted] agents we work
with that all codes and releases are correctly input into the [redacted] computer
systems. When mistakes do happen on the [redacted] end, they can be resolved
quickly, as they were in this case. When [redacted] began collection action
against the client in error, [redacted] Tax Group immediately contacted [redacted], ceased
the collection action, and verified the installment agreement was approved.We
respectfully, yet firmly stress that at no point did [redacted] Tax Group default
on the contractual obligations to client. We understand that dealing with
the [redacted] can be an incredibly stressful time, and that disagreements and
misunderstandings may occur. Accordingly we have attempted to contact the
client to communicate to her that her case is important to us, clear up any
misunderstandings, and come to a resolution that is mutually satisfying.At
