In response to the customer complaint; When I looked at the vehicle, I found a heater hose blownSince the vehicle overheated, I replaced both the heater hose and thermostat and gasketI refilled the coolant system, test drove the vehicle, erased a code for cylinder #misfire, re-drove the vehicle and all systems were normalI advised the customer what was done and to "keep an eye on cylinder #1, because it may act up again and misfire if it does it could be the head gasket, I've seen this before"Her friend advised me that "she bought the car days before the break down." I said to her "that may be the reason they sold the car, overheating issuesIf it heats up again, shut it off and have it towed." She then drove her car to Washington DC then back to Gilmer, WVShe called from Gilmer, WV and said that the car was still overheating, the Secretary told her that she needed to bring the car back to us and we would look at it againShe said that she felt that we should have to tow the car back to our shop and repair it at no costShe asked to speak to me, when I picked up the phone, all she could do was swear obscenities at me and belittle me about my mechanical abilities, so I hung up on herHer mother called shortly after and demanded that we come pick up her daughter's vehicle and repair it at no costShe told the secretary that she was a paralegal and would get attorney's involved if she had to do soThe secretary told the owner what she said and he said to tell her that she needed to get it back to our shop to have it repaired againIf it was something we did wrong, we would take care of itThe mother said we would be hearing from her attorney and hung up the phoneThe daughter then called back and spoke to the secretary and said that she didn't want to speak to anyone but herShe went on and on about how wrong this situation was to the secretary and said that if she had to come up there in person that it was not going to be a pretty site because all [redacted] was going to break loose and people were going to fallThat was the end of the communications with her until we received the letter from the Revdex.com
