vehicle and all systems were normal. I advised the customer what was done and to "keep an eye on cylinder #1, because it may act up again and misfire if it does it could be the head gasket, I've seen this before". Her friend advised me that "she bought the car 2 days before the break down." I said to her "that may be the reason they sold the car, overheating issues. If it heats up again, shut it off and have it towed." She then drove her car to Washington DC then back to Gilmer, WV. She called from Gilmer, WV and said that the car was still overheating, the Secretary told her that she needed to bring the car back to us and we would look at it again. She said that she felt that we should have to tow the car back to our shop and repair it at no cost. She asked to speak to me, when I picked up the phone, all she could do was swear obscenities at me and belittle me about my mechanical abilities, so I hung up on her. Her mother called shortly after and demanded that we come pick up her daughter's vehicle and repair it at no cost. She told the secretary that she was a paralegal and would get attorney's involved if she had to do so. The secretary told the owner what she said and he said to tell her that she needed to get it back to our shop to have it repaired again. If it was something we did wrong, we would take care of it. The mother said we would be hearing from her attorney and hung up the phone. The daughter then called back and spoke to the secretary and said that she didn't want to speak to anyone but her. She went on and on about how wrong this situation was to the secretary and said that if she had to come up there in person that it was not going to be a pretty site because all [redacted] was going to break loose and people were going to fall. That was the end of the communications with her until we received the letter from the Revdex.com.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am rejecting the statement made by Rod b cause it is untrue. Before leaving, I made it a point to ask whether or not he head gasket was blown and if it would be safe to drive. He assured me that he issues had been fixed and he car was fine. After about thirty minutes on the road the car began running hot and I altered him. The next day it broke down. He refused to tow it back and said I would be charged. He was very nasty and also spoke to me in a demeaning way. He was unapologetic about putting my life in danger as highway 79 is ruthless. I spoke to the receptionist who was very kind and understanding and expressed that both Rod and the owner felt no obligation and refused to help me. I had to have my car serviced by another shop who informed me that the hose was still cracked and the temperature housing unit was as well. The mechanic told me that the other shop (the one in question) should have been able to see and tell that the head gasket was blown. He also assured me that the amount I paid to have the hose replaced was outrageous. I am now looking for my money to be returned if not all at least half. I am lucky to be alive as the car could have blown up or stopped in the middle of the highway and I would be dead. It is unfortunate that the work has no warranty. I have documentation and my next course of action will be legal. Additionally no threats were made and any obscenities havwere said were I defensive of the ones I received.
