Received letter from collection agency for service never billed
Since I never received a bill I must assume this results from the sale of my house The house was sold on November 16, I had service with utilities company until then Until then their bills were received at that address They were informed of the sale, asked to discontinue service, and given our new addressThe post office was given our forwarding address
No final bill was ever sent to the new address at which mail had been received normally for over a year No bill from *** Utilities was ever forwarded although much other mail was As far as I know no attempt was EVER made to contact us
Without notice I received on March a collection letter from collection company demanding payment
There was no description of the amount of service rendered, the address at which it was rendered, the date at which it was rendered, or any interest, penalty or collection charges involved
