I am rejecting this response because: I believe the property manager must have had some of the conversations in her head and not with us She is the one who noticed the grass because we were playing games outside There were several cars because each of us brought a vehicleWe had a boat to tow, two seadoos to tow, kayaks to bring, and my husband, son and I went back home to retrieve our motorcycles to ride in the areaI am certain it looked like more people than there actually were due to the vehiclesMy sons are over the driving ageIn reality, we had one more person than I anticipated for a few of the nightsIn addition, my cousin who lives in the area come to visit during the day, and a friend's family came for the 4th of July during the dayAt no point did we have more people than beds for them to sleep inThe only bed which slept two people was the king bed my husband and I shared. The reason she did not hear from me for four days is that a neighbor two houses down allowed us to use his lift When his family came to visit him, we needed to move our boat, hence, the contact with the property manager The neighbor came down and actually helped us with the lift and shared that the previous people had the same issue. The lake did go up about a foot when the water was going over Inks Dam about 4-feet We were there, we took the boat out on LBJ during that timeI'm sure you will see that, if you check the lake levels during that time We are VERY familiar with all of the highland lakes from Buchanan to Travis We rent lake houses frequently and have never had any issues beforeAs a matter-of-fact, I have been given my cleaning fee back because we leave the houses very cleanWe understand the mechanics of boat lifts and how they work. Yes, nails do pop up, but these had not been hammered back down for some timeIt is the responsibility of property managers for rentals to keep the areas as safe as possible According to the neighbors, this rental agency was well aware of some of these issues. I am not bullying this lady, I don't have the time to mess with this, but I feel that strongly about this situationThis place was not accurately representedI do not argue that there is great potential and the land is beautiful, and that in the beginning she responded quickly to try and make repairsThe boat dock eventually was wobbly, but usable, yet not completely what I would consider safe as it should be We often swam out to the boat rather than load at the liftThe dishwasher never worked right, I just got tired of calling for support and gave up and washed the dishes by handI have never asked for a refund or dealt with anyone like this companyI still believe that a refund of partial payment is appropriate.
