Escamillio D. Jones Funeral Home

Review: The [redacted] Family just recently lost a loved one on April 27th 2013. The funeral was held on May 4th 2013 with The Escamillio Jones Funeral Home. The Jones Funeral have made several mistakes after the contracted was completed. The announcement card that we issued to family and friends contained no time for the funeral. They issued a plaque with our love ones photo and name, which the last name was misspelled. My mother received the death certificates, which she noticed the year of my brother's birth was incorrect, but we never received his ashes. After returning the following two items back to The Jones Funeral Home, they have not kept in touch with The [redacted] Family regarding the issue. We tried numerous times to contact The Jones Funeral Home on several occasions and received no response. After leaving messages with the answering service, which a woman answered and explained that she is the answering service and she will relate the message to Mr. Jones. My mother and I again tried to contact Mr. Jones days after. My mother received a text from Mr. Jones stating that he was in traffic court on Monday May 20th and that he will contact her later that evening. My mother did not receive a call from Mr. Jones that night or the remaining of the week. My mother again tried to contact Mr. Jones, which she received a call from Mr. Jones wife explaining that they were waiting on the death certificates and once they receive them, Mr Jones will bring everything to my mother whom does not operate a vehicle due to her disability. I contacted Mr Jones and did not receive a response back. With sending various of text messages explaining that The [redacted] Family was not happy with the service they provided. Mr. Jones contacted my mother stating that he was waiting on the death certificates from the state. Mr Jones also stated that he does not see why we could not use the ones that contained the wrong year of my brother's birth. Business should not be handled that way when it comes to a funeral home.Desired Settlement: The [redacted] Family would like to receive our brother and son's death certificates and ashes to have closure. We are all going through distress and cannot move on from this.
