Dear [redacted] Thank you for alerting us to this Revdex.com complaint Escape Outdoors is a US company based in the Pacific Northwest that sells outdoor clothing We operate several brick and mortar locations in the area as well as an online store that only ships domestically We do not process or ship any orders internationally All of the garments we sell are brand new and items that are returned must be unworn with the original tags still attached Items that are purchased online are inspected before being shipped but it is possible that the item in question was previously tried on in store or was a return We acknowledged that we may have missed an existing odor on this shirt and offered the customer a full refund with free return shipping for the garment (please see attached conversation) We provided the customer with a UPS prepaid return service label that would cover the return shipping fee for the return from the shipping address that the customer used for this order in Portland, OR Unfortunately the customer used a freight forwarder unrelated to Escape Outdoors to have the item shipped from Oregon to an address outside of America We cannot be held responsible for any additional return shipping charges that may arise from our customer sending their item to an international destination via a freight forwarder or other method Escape Outdoors will gladly refund the customer for this return that we already provided return shipping for, once we receive the item

The Customer left the jacket with us on 1/18/to be sent back to Patagonia to be repaired Patagonia offers a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer's defects and will repair it at no cost to the customer for the lifetime of the garment The jacket was sent out 1/19/and arrived at Patagonia on 1/21/to be evaluated for repair

Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintFor your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Escape Outdoors continues to deny responsibility for selling a damaged jacket, denies a refund, and abuses a manufacturers excellent warranty serviceIt is January and I have no ski jacket because these people ripped me off.Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintFor your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Escape Outdoors has failed to resolve my complaint in good faithInstead they reference an inane return policy that would keep me from being able to return my jacket because I tried it on in the store before it was purchasedI think their marketing is deceptive, as I believed I was buying a quality jacket in new conditionI have no reason to believe that the problem with the jacket was from the manufacturer, and instead believe Escape Outdoors may have been responsible for damaging the jacket before it was purchasedDespite having multiple opportunities to do the right thing and refund the full cost of the jacket, they have continued to place blame on me for being gullible enough to buy damaged goods from them.Regards,*** ***

The customer purchased a Patagonia-Snowshot jacket at Escape Outdoors in Spokane, WA on 11/14/for a total of $
Our return policy on our receipt states:
Returns must be made within days of purchase with receiptGarments must be unworn with the tags attached
If tags are removed, items can not be returned/exchanged unless otherwise commented on invoice
Because this is a warn item and the product is no longer available in store, it now falls into a warranty/repair category which is guaranteed by Patagonia Patagonia offers a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer's defects and will choose to replace or repair the item for the customer at no cost We sent the Jacket back to Patagonia on 1/19/for the customer and it was received by Patagonia on 1/21/ Patagonia will likely replace the fraying velcro strip on the cuff and return it to the customer

The Customer left the jacket with us on 1/18/2016 to be sent back to Patagonia to be repaired.  Patagonia offers a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer's defects and will repair it at no cost to the customer for the lifetime of the garment.   The jacket was sent out 1/19/2016 and arrived at Patagonia on 1/21/2016 to be evaluated for repair.
