My first advice...do not do business with this guy! He will promise you top quality work and then tell you he is OCD about his service, but the opposite is true. I hired him to paint a room and when he was finished, the trim looked like a third grader painted it! Alot of it was not even covered and was smudged onto the walls. It was supposed to be a 2 1/2 day project that has turned into a nearly 3 week project. He promises he will return to fix problems, but like the other complaint on file, he will make every excuse under the sun as to why he can’t make it on the day scheduled. Bought a truck from his brother in law and it died on the highway the very next day, needing not 1 but 2 batteries ...in a diesel truck...he did not know this truck had 2 batteries...seriously! Then he brought 2 closet doors back that he took and completed painting at home to finish the project, and guess what...scratched them on his tailgate getting them out of his truck. He was so mad at himself and told my son he would be back to fix it...but again...guess what...he won’t reply now. This was after waiting for him to arrive 5 hrs late bc he can’t drive in freezing rain like the rest of us...with his newer Diesel truck. To me, I have figured out that although he seems to be a nice guy, he takes on projects to get the money to pay his bills as he goes...and then does a so so job to finish getting paid and then once the check is cashed, he gone! I feel fortunate that I at least got paint on the walls and he didn’t run with the first payment, but I will not do any further business with him. He came as a referral to me from his sister who is a realtor for Century 21. She is very nice and honest. His other sister is a mortgage lender with ***...also very nice and honest. Too bad he is giving them a bad rap now along with himself, especially when the referral is a kind deed To give him business. He also says he works for Granite Ridge...on new homes! Watch out Granite Ridge...he’s claiming he works for you and that he is in high demand by top rated construction firms such as yours. It’s just too bad that companies such as this take advantage of people and their money. He is apparently not honest, and is out there now looking for his next person to tell his story to so that he can make his next mortgage payment. Construction on bathroom remodel of walk in shower and bathroom floor is unacceptable - numerous attempts to contact with no response.
Contactor misrepresented his skills when reviewing the job and giving an estimate. He led us to believe he is a perfectionist and everything will be straight, level, matching corners, etc. During the construction process contractor had numerous excuses for delay including 2 auto accidents (in a 10 day period), family halloween party, son's girlfriend in the hospital, daughter's mother no willing to pick her up from school / basketball practice, being in jail for 10 days, had to go to other jobs - and these are the ones I remember. Contractor started on 10/9/17 and to this date still has a repair to complete. Contractor has completely ignored phone calls too numerous to count as well as Facebook Messages which indicates he has read them within 15 minutes of us sending them. After having his work reviewed by another professional the imperfections are too many to indicate on this review but I can say everything is a mess. The corners in the shower do not match up, the floor in the shower and in the bathroom are uneven, the grout lines are unequal - it's just an overall poor job. Unfortunately, we've paid him in full which was a big mistake. The owner of this company continuously talked to us about his Christian values so we took him at his word. We had him come back a couple of times after begging and pleading to even complete the job so we could use the shower. During that time we pointed out one last thing that is completely unacceptable in the window in the shower - so he took a piece a tile with him to cut it and come back a few days later which has now been 3 weeks without any contact. We are so upset with him now and the final product of his work, we have decided that we will be paying someone else to redo the entire job - at close inspection it is horrible. Shame on us for paying him the second half when it wasn't complete (he had some issues to comes back and fix which we pointed out with blue tape - probably at least 25 places marked). We really trusted him to stick to his word and return to fix the things that were wrong. Honestly, we are so exhausted in dealing with him we are now going to extremes to get his attention.
