This manufacture does not even deserved 1 star. I should have read yahoo review before ordering it. check this out: [redacted]
One reviewer even said "Once you install it, you stuck with their garbage", that described our situation as well.
Escon has NO Quality Control before shipping out their door to customer. We ordered an entry door, but they shipped out inferior product which should never get passed from quality inspection. When the door came, we have done our due diligence to inspect the door and it has no crack, dent, or broken pieces. However, one serious defect was found after the door got installed, we were walking through the job with contractor and saw the rectangular patterns on the sidelite is off-center, uneven, not leveled. You wouldn't believe what you see-
It is such an inferior product that it shouldn't get shipped out from manufacturer, it should have been caught many times (during assembling process, color staining process, QA, final quality control inspection, etc...)
The manufacture just doesn't care about quality. very poor customer service. They slipped the shipment twice, and their solution to the inferior door they sold is -- asked customer to remove the door and shipped it back for repair. It made no sense for customer to remove the door and has NO door when they repair the defect. Who pay for the double job for removal/re-installation? ESCON. Poor Quality Poor Service.
