Escondido Auto Super Center Reviews (5)

Mr*** claims to have called us to report the issues with his vehicle, but we have no record of any calls or messages left with our dealership or service department We cannot fix a problem if we do not know about it In addition we have told Mr*** to provide receipts for the
money he spent to fix the vehicle and that we may be able to reimburse some or all of the costs, but he was unable to provide any receipts He stated he performed the work himself, and so we requested the parts receipts, and he has not provided them Regards,*** ***VP

While experiences with Escondido Auto Super Center vary and the authenticity of good comments on here are questionable. Here is my testimony: I purchased a vehicle in late August 2015. Immediately after driving the car the TPMS sensor light came on. I notified the dealership and they said to make an appointment with the service center which I did. I took the vehicle in and every time I drove away from the dealership with the promise that everything was fixed by [redacted]l([redacted], the service agent), the light continued to come on within three minutes from leaving the lot. This happened at least three times. The problem was eventually fixed at [redacted], the place they made an appointment at to take care of the problem for them. Furthermore, two months later, the vehicle began to burn oil. I made several phone calls and left messages to both the service center and the main office with no answer at times or with the promise that they will call me back, but nobody ever did. The vehicle's oil burning problem began to get worse, so I began to call and leave messages again. I spoke to [redacted] and [redacted] with the guarantee that the manager would call me back, but he never did. I also spoke to [redacted]l in the service department and told him about the problem and mentioned that I purchased the extended warranty, Alpha Warranty Services. To my surprise as well as Alpha's he said they don't accept that warranty at Escondido Auto Super Center, but they do sell it. Alpha was completely shocked when I called them and told them this. I took the vehicle to [redacted] and other license service centers and it was diagnosed with numerous engine problems. Further diagnosis meant taking the risk of paying about two thousand dollars out of pocket if the extended warranty did not cover the issues. Moreover, an inspector would have to come out and decide whether the issues are covered. I decided not to take the risk because I don't have the amount of money. After, I called Escondido Auto Super Center and finally spoke to the general manager, [redacted]. I told him the situation and asked him about a trade-in. [redacted] told me that the car has lost a lot of value because of the engine problems and that a trade-in results in negative equity and additional sales tax along with numerous other fees that come with a trade-in. He told me I would still have to pay off the vehicle because I wouldn't get much for it and I would have to pay for the trade-in vehicle also. Did they know about the pre existing engine problems? Perhaps. You really take an immense,I mean absolutely big, risk purchasing a car from Escondido Auto Super Center. Please keep in mind that all this occurred within four months of buying the vehicle.

BUYER BEWARE!! I go online to Escondido Auto Super Center website and see a used truck I want to buy and send an e-mail stating my interest in purchasing the vehicle. I receive an e-mail with a price offer and an expiration date of April 5, 2016. I call the sales rep ([redacted]) and he suggests I submit an application online. So, I do that and three days pass and I never hear back from him. So I call the General Manager ([redacted]) and tell him about my conversation with [redacted] and he told me another sales rep ([redacted]) would call me. [redacted] did call me only to tell me that the truck had been sold a day earlier. So, why would [redacted] have me submit an application when he probably already another buyer? Also, what good is the offer I received with a date of April 5, 2016? I called the General Manager to complain and left him a message to call me back. It has been two days and he has yet to call me. This is so unprofessional. I guess it's not about customer service, it's about the bottom line...money. At least they didn't get my money. Businesses like this one give other auto dealers a bad reputation. I will not attempt to do any other business with this auto center.
