Hi, This response refers to complaint [redacted], I am still recovering from my total knee replacement. The response that the Escondido Inn wrote is completely untruths.  My father and I wrote a long list of the things wrong with the room we stayed in and all he did was stick it in a drawer and say he had to go to the DMV.  The Escondido Inn is a "dive", it is filthy dirty, the towels are stiff and gray in color.  They did nothing to accommodate my father and I.  When I read the response I just about laughed because it was so ridiculous and laden with untruths and/or false things that never happened.  This place should be investigated for its "cleanliness" that it lacks.

Review: Upon July 21, 2014 my father and I rented room #[redacted] (disabled room) for 9 nites, unbeknownst to us what we would find. I just had a total knee replacement on my right leg and was recovering. This stay was unanticipated, unplanned and a complete inconvenience. My father is 77 years of age, and myself 54 years of age. All other lodges, motels and of the like were booked solid due to a huge "Comic Convention" in San Diego. We had driven around for a couple of hours in the San Marcos area looking for somewhere to stay while I recovered. I will list the following issues with this "place of business". 1. The toilet does not flush properly, always had to use a plunger. 2. The refrigerator did not keep anything frozen or cold, it was off and on. 3. The air conditioner filters were filthy, we cleaned. 4. The carpet was filthy black, our feet turned black on the soles of our feet as well as our socks! 5.Inadequated multi outlet for microwave, fridge and TV. 6. Night stand had residual marijuana leaves in drawer 7.TV screen had smudges and fingerprints all over screen. 8. Fan in the bathroom is inadequate for proper ventilation and dirty. 9. Housekeepers vacuum is outdated and does not have attachments to properly clean edges of room. 10. NO hang up bar for clothes. This room was at its least, ADEQUATE. We asked for a room change with 2 beds since my father and I were sharing a full and I just had knee surgery. They could not and would not accommodate us, AT ALL. I can plainly see that this place is "barely" running, the towels are hard and dingy gray and this family offers no customer service. Eventually it will probably be shut down, the corner bought and a bigger, brighter, new place built. But at this time, this place is a "roach motel" for lack of a better term. I truly hope you can intervene. I have also filed a complaint with the City of Escondido. Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: Please inform me of your process.
