Review: This "company" (I believe it is bogus) works in tandem with another company, Eventworld International in Kennesaw, Georgia (I have already filed a complaint re: that company). Eventworld contacted me in February about a timeshare I own in Mexico, saying they had a buyer who would pay much more than I paid for it. Naturally, I was skeptical, so I looked into both companies. Both at one time (it appeared on and off) had A+ ratings from the Revdex.com. Escrow Inc. also is in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State. They told me they had been in business since 1987, but I could find NOTHING on the internet about them, which caused me to be more suspicious. Over the course of a few months I wired them over $6,000, and they wanted $4,500 more, threatening to sue me if I backed out of the contract. I know now that this was a scare tactic. Escrow Inc. kept telling me I needed to send more money, stating that the present President of Mexico now enforces these laws requiring up front funds for sale of a condo. After hiring a lawyer and seeking help thru other agencies, I now know that this was a lie, just a method for them to get more money from me. Both companies cut off all correspondence with me once I told them I now had the information that they were scamming me. I don't have a lot of hope that I will get these funds refunded, but why do they have an A+ rating from you? They refer people to this rating when they are questioned about their legitimacy. PLEASE look into this before others are scammed. I am a retiree on a fixed income, and $6K is a lot of money for me. The funds they required (and promised to reimburse at the time of the "sale"):$1,425.00 finder's fee, $1,250.00 -- 50% of International Escrow Fee 1,995.00 -- 7% to register as a foreign Investor $3,135.00 --11% IVA Tax $4,275.00 for "erasure of the records".Again, all bogus. I wired them a total of $6,380. Please investigate. I'd like my money back, if possible. thank you. [redacted]Desired Settlement: Would like to know that they no longer receive a good rating from you...they should recieve an F rating (but once they get this they will no longer refer people to the link with a rating) I would like a refund since these are not legitimate up front funds they required. They need to be investigated and should no longer be able to operate and scam other people.

Review: The Escrow company was supposed to be holding funds in escrow from the sale of my time share in Mexico. They had me pay $18,000 in fees, that were supposed to be reimbursed to me. Instead they stole my money and turned their phones off. The should be reported to several authorities for stealing money. I had a valid contract in writing.Desired Settlement: Stop these people from stealing other people's money and see if you can get my money back

Review: This time-share selling company, ESCROW INC., AND EVENTWORLD INTERNATIONAL [redacted]s,[redacted], [redacted]) contacted me approx. in January 2013. They found a buyer for my Mexico timeshare and requested several fees (various Issues with the Mexican Government) from January 2013, thru July 2013, to be paid per the contract because it was located in Cabo San Lucas. Email and phone contact was the method of communication and they promised that escrow would be closed after July 4th, 2013. It was on a written contract that I would get my timeshare sale money $55.000.00 PLUS the invested fees in the totL amount of $77,284.65. Steinberg sent an email ON 6/21/13,stating that escrow would be closed the first week of July (See copy of email below). I have recently sent FIVE emails, and called all available numbers but no one has returned emails or telephone calls. On 7/16/13, I called all available numbers, but all are disconnected, with no other information. IT SEEMS THAT THESE TWO COMPANIES HAVE RIPPED MY FAMILY OFF. Copy of [redacted] last email:Hello [redacted]Hope all is well. Please find attached your amended guarantee of reimbursement which includes all the fee you have paid to wire funds. ($77,284.65 U.S.)On another note, it appears we have no more surprises, I have a client that was in the same situation as you, and is finaly closing today. He paid the Moratorium Fee about 10 days ago ($2,472.17 U.S.) I thought I would share some good news with you before the weekend.Desired Settlement: IF these companies can be found, we pray that NO ONE does any similar business with either, ESCROW INC., & EVENTWORLD INTERNATIONAL. We would obviously love to HAVE OUR INVESTED MONEY BACK, including every single wire fee we paid at our financial institution, LAPFCU.Actually, since no one has responded via email, or called us back, CRIMINAL CHARGES SHOULD BE FILED AGAINST: [redacted], AND [redacted].
